Poor servicePosted Feb 13, 2014
The male night receptionist was very rude and does not know how to welcome customers. Unfriendly and very unaccomodating. The female receptionists was really nice...the one who work in the morning of the 10th and 12th. The night male receptionist was not even able to help us when we asked for hot water. Come on this was the first hotel which can't offer hot water!

Pros: My room was conveniently located on the main floor, in the courtyard area, which was super cute. I also liked having a TV in the room.
Cons: If I'm going to pay for wifi, I would like the convenience of being able to access it in my room instead of having to go to the public lounge area.
Location: Conveniently located by a McDonald's w/ wifi, so I was able to look up train maps and things to do in the area.
Pros: + provided 2 towels and hand towels, 2 glasses, and floor towel + decent/small bathroom w/ soap and shampoo dispensers included, which was convenient + I was told I would have a twin-sized bed, but the bed was actually a regular-sized bed (American standards) that could fit 2 people + cute courtyard area + TV in room. Channels are in French, however if watching an American show, you can switch to English (Menu > Son > Langue audio > "English" or "Non define") Cons: -- you have to pay for wifi and even then, it's only accessible in the lounge (NOT in your rooms), which is annoying - surrounding area is a little sketchy - 8 Euros per day for breakfast (was advertised as continental breakfast included). Since I chose to pay for my room at check-in, I was alerted to this fact, but after reading other reviews, it sounds like those who paid upon check-out were not made aware of the breakfast charge and were unpleasantly surprised by the additional cost - old decor - 1 outlet in entire room - book through Expedia. I had a single room and paid 50 Euros, versus the 99 Euros advertised on the site and at the hotel

Tourist trapPosted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
Location is very loud and feels unsafe. Because the room is not ventilated or air-condition, it is very difficult to sleep. Opening the windows does not help because of the sounds from the street. The room itself was spacious and had a full bath. However, there was no internet connection. I advise staying in different area in Paris and use the very convenient public transportation to commute.

Long walk to the fourth floorPosted Jun 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
The elevator was not working during my stay so a long way to the top floor especially carrying bags. The staff were friendly and the bathroom clean (recently renovated) but the rest of the room was dated and worn. Close to the gare du nord which suited my purposes.

Small, budget but convenient locationPosted Apr 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
OK for a night, but not ideal for a longer, or holiday, stay. Very good location for Nord/Est. Small room and tiny shower. Room clean enough, but hotel decor quite shabby. Narrow steep stairs to my (top floor) room - no lifts.

Not a bad place to stay at all. Good service, clean room. Very small but I wasn't there much. I would recommend it. Nice price.
Not a great neighborhoodPosted Jun 20, 2012 on Hotels.com
But it was close to the train station, which getting in at midnight made it very convenient. This was the nicest of three hotels that I stayed in Paris at a similar cost. We had to walk pretty far up a stair case to get to our room, but that wasn't a big deal. Room seemed pretty clean. The guy who checked us in could have been a bit more friendly, but we probably woke him up, so it wasn't totally unexpected. Would recommend this hotel based on convenience of coming in to Paris late at night. At this price, you can find a hotel in a better location, although this was nicer than others that we stayed in. So depends on what you're looking for.
Convenient location, nice staffPosted Jun 18, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel is close to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est and therefore also to Metro. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rate was very reasonable so I would go back there in a heartbeat!

Pros: the easiness of it all, this was no hassle just really nice
Cons: that one of the towels had mascara stains on it. but a very small negative
Location: really great location, 2 min walk from hard du nord.
it's basic but if you are planning to spend your time exploring Paris its a great base to have. good safe location and friendly staff
