Intimate Hotel in the Latin QuarterPosted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: We loved the character of the building. The staff were so very helpful and friendly that they made one feel like part of a family. Great atmosphere!
Location: Luxembourg Gardens, Place de Sorbonne, shops, restaurants, cafés, and Metro stop Luxembourg are within walking distance. Walk to Notre Dame!
We booked this hotel online. Our check in was quick and pleasant. The room was very comfortable and efficiently fitted. The bathroom was gorgeous. We had a view out to Boulevard Saint Michel. There is some exterior work underway but this did not affect us as we were staying at the weekend. The staff were wonderful. The room was very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We only ate in the hotel in the morning but the coffee was strong and flavourful and the baked goods delicious. Our room was cleaned and the bed remade beautifully. We really enjoyed our stay. We walked everywhere and felt safe. We walked all around the Latin Quarter; to Saint Chapelle, Notre Dame, Chez George's, and more. Great location.

Nice hotel, good location.Posted Mar 14, 2015
Location: Smack bang in the centre of Paris.
Lovely Hotel. Room on the small side, but this is Paris. Location excellent, next door to Luxembourg RER station, so easy access to/from the airport and the metro. 10 Euros to here on the RER from the airport, so already saving money on taxi fares. Location very good- over the road from the beautiful Luxembourg gardens. A short stroll to the Seine and Notre Dame. We walked to all attractions from here, including Montmatre- Paris is a lovely place to stroll through. Lots of eating/ drinking places nearby, especially in the Latin Quarter. Local bars/ Bistros and more familiar fare, such as Starbucks etc if that is your thing. A few minor niggles- the Wifi is poor- we were on the 4th floor and while we could check emails, general web browsing was painfully slow and streaming music or video was impossible. This is not good enough in this day and age. Secondly, we asked for a quiet room and were given one on the 4th floor. However, they currently have scaffolding covering the building and the labourers were there from 8:00 sharp to 5:30, clambering around and shouting to each other in French/ Arabic. Only temporary, granted, but we would have liked to have been told about this when booking, as it meant that lie-ins were impossible, as was having the window open during the day. I just found this a tad disingenuous. Overall though a nice hotel with good decor and friendly staff.

Very small room.Posted Feb 28, 2015
Very small rooms and bathrooms. Elevator also very tight. Lobby and hall ways had a strong chemical smell. Front desk not as friendly as other hotels we stayed at in Paris.

Excellent value, staff and locationPosted Jan 31, 2015
Loved everything about the hotel. Room was as spacious as can be expected in Paris, comfortable bed with quality linen and a large, modern bathroom. Staff was helpful, courteous and spoke decent enough English for my wife not to need me. There are lots of great locations to stay in Paris, depending on what you like to do, The Observatoire is great for any left bank activity, with a Metro station (technically RER but part of the system) steps away, Latin Quarter, St Germain de Pres, and Montparnasse in the opposite direction all 10 minutes walk. Perfect for the runner, with the Jardin de Luxembourg across the street. Closes at sunset but the outside loop is app 1 mile with no streets to cross. Highly recommended.

HOTEL GOOD LOCATION Our stay was o.kPosted Jan 10, 2015
Pros: The breakfast as really good and the staff of the hotel were very nice.
Cons: The rooms are very small and the lugagge does not fit adequately.
Location: The location is very nice and there are a lot of restaurants in the área.
The área is well located, buy the room is too small for the luggage. I stayed with my son for 5 days and we had problems with the room, which was really very tiny. The neighbrhood is quite pleasant and walking though the área I find many other hotels

Overall the hotel size is not too bad for Paris standards. The bathroom is new, modern and again not a bad size. The WIFI does not work very well so expect to get frustrated when trying to use it. I think the staff tried hard to make up for this and hopefully will try to improve it. The hotel is located one block from the metro and about a 15 minute walk from Notre Dame. It is across the street from the Luxembourg Gardens.
