Quirky Boutique HotelPosted Sep 9, 2014
Location: Close to Metro stops, cafes, patisseries, and some shopping.
We had a great experience here. The rooms were small but typical in Paris and the hotel definitely had character! This was conveniently located near a Metro stop and in a cute neighborhood. The room was also air conditioned which I hear is a rarity. We had to turn our room key in when we left the hotel which I thought was a little weird being from the US and never having to do that but it all worked out and we never had to worry about loosing our key! The front desk was staffed around the clock and very helpful

Best Paris Hotel I've stayed in so farPosted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: The staff were lovely and it's location was excellent - right by the Bastille metro station.
Location: It's really close to a lot of good Bistros and bars, just a short walk to the river
We got a free upgrade to the 'diamond' room, which was basically like a teenage girls bedroom. LED lights that changed colour hanging from light fittings that looked like Jelly fish and a MASSIVE bed with a white fluffy bedspread. It was all a bit silly really but it made us giggle. The bathroom wasn't very private, just a partial partition which some people may not like. I think every room is different though.

Good hotel close to the attractions of the MaraisPosted Aug 25, 2014
The stay was pleasant without being mind-blowing. The decor of the hotel is interesting if rather dark and the room is comfortable. Cons include the rooms being rather small, having no coffee maker and the hotel's elevator being impossibly slow and small. The breakfast is also not good value for money at 12 Euro extra. Everything considered, not a bad bet because its location is virtually perfect and the amenities upmarket.

Hotel in a very good locationPosted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Location -very close to major metro station and a comfortable bed
Cons: Lots to be improved, needs a reno; a small room should NOT have ridiculous and useless light features taking up space around the bed, it looks cheap
Location: Walk to Notre-Dame Cathedral and enjoy the little stores, cafes, etc.
This hotel was reasonable mainly due to its location, the main reason we chose it. The room was much too small, with the shower and sink in a very small and darkish room without a door or curtain. That is, due to cold air drafts into this "bath-shower-room", showering was not a pleasant experience at all (cold and dark). In addition, lack of proper lights was an issue, shaving properly was impossible due to improper lighting. We arrived in the hotel before 10 am from an overseas flight, tired and in great need of a shower and some sleep, but could only check-in at the usual time 2 pm. The reception desk was not helpful, even at 1 pm we could not check-in…had to wait (this is the first time we saw this lack of flexibility in hotel staff). Advice for long trip travellers: make sure you arrange for earlier check-in. We never had breakfast in the hotel, there are many cafes very close and less expensive. No coffee maker or is available in the room. Although the hotel was renovated recently ( from web page) it certainly could use another well-planned reno. Please add proper lighting to the bath and a door!! We could not see if it was clean or not, not good for a first impression.

Great experience overallPosted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Uniquely designed rooms, friendly and English speaking staff, somewhat convenient location
Cons: Small washroom & shower area, even in a superior room. Next to main street so bit noisy at night.
Location: Great location next to subway.
Pros: Uniquely designed rooms, friendly and English speaking staff, somewhat convenient location Cons: Small washroom & shower area, even in a superior room. Next to main street so bit noisy at night. We stayed for 3 nights and had a overall good experience. If you are a big person you will find the shower area and the washroom really cramped and uncomfortable. The elevator is small as, we had two person and two carry on and it just fit. Staffs are friendly and English speaking. Location wisely it's pretty convenient given that it's only a minute walk from the subway. But at night if you are facing the street there will be a lot of noises so bring a earplug or something.

Fantastic cozy hotel near Bastille and Le MaraisPosted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: The staff is great, friendly and multilingual. I felt welcomed all the time. Their WiFi is pretty good and free which always comes handy.
Cons: I honestly don't thing there's anything to be improved. Just be aware that this is a boutique hotel, so expect small spaces :)
Location: Half block away from Bastille Metro. Less than 5 minutes walk to Le Marais neighborhood.
This is a true 4 (four) start hotel in the historic district of Paris; Le Marais/Bastille. It is walking -- less than a block -- distance to the Bastille Metro and about 5 minutes away from Le Marais which provides an ultimate location for Paris' night and dining scenes. The staff is friendly and their English is great! I personally speak English and Spanish, and I was surprised on finding hotel staff that would speak both languages. The hotel itself is an old building. However, it has been taken care of thru the years resulting on a fantastic experience. Each room has a different concept so be prepare to not find your typical -- american style -- hotel room. My room was called 'the silver' (or something like that) which was composed of a fun concept between silver walls and pretty stylish lighting (I loved it, different but cozy). I would actually recommend this hotel to couples willing to spend some quality time in Paris.

What a hotelPosted Jul 15, 2014
So spent a lot of time searching for the "right" hotel to take my girlfriend to for her birthday. I came across this place and straight away thought looked great. Was I in for a surprise. We stayed in the gold room on the ground floor. No rooms next door so was silent and backed on the court yard area behind the building. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The decor was just like you see in the pictures. If you want funky place to stay. This is it. Literally 2 minute walk to Bastille metro station which was massive bonus and still well within the heart of paris to get a great feel for the city just in local area to the hotel. The staff were great and more then helpful with everything we asked. Would definately stay here again!!!
