Basic but good locationPosted Jul 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed at this hotel twice at the beginning and end of a trip to France. We liked the location close to the Marais and Notre Dame for the selection of restaurants, and found it a better location for doing the tourist thing than the Champs Elysee area that most travelers tend to stay. The hotel has four rooms per floor - the first time we were on the sixth floor in a rear room that was really too small for a double bed, and with a small bathroom. On the second stay we had a room on the second floor at the front which was bigger and had a larger bathroom - guests may want to figure out what room they are getting. As with many older city center hotels the rooms were a bit small, and the bathrooms basic - controlling the temparature of the water in the bathroom was a pain.

convenient location; resonable pricePosted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: location, breakfast, room appointments/arrangement, etc.
Cons: tub was deep and slipery. shower was difficult to avoid getting water on floor. grab bars to help secure oneself in the shower or getting out of tub
Location: able to walk to many of the sites we wanted to see
we liked the location for walking around places we wanted to see. the weather was good (thank you). the noise and traffic was to be expected in the part of Paris, I think.

Great StaffPosted Jul 7, 2013
Pros: Good location, friendly staff who spoke English, mini-fridge and English channels on TV, modern bathroom, quiet room.
Location: Located on Rue de Rivoli within walking distance of Notre Dame and sites in the Marais. There is a large department store near Hotel de Ville.
Conveniently located within walking distance of Notre Dame, Place des Vosges, Hotel de Ville, Metro St. Paul, and other areas of the Marais. The hotel is small but friendly and clean. The staff was wonderful and spoke English. Francois was particularly helpful and gave us walking directions and suggestions. The woman on duty the morning we left saved us a lot of time by making suggestions as to the best and most efficient way to take the Metro/train to CDG Airport. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but used several of the markets in the area. There is a small Monop across the street, but better markets near the St. Paul Metro station. The flat screen TV had a couple of English channels and there is a mini-fridge. We would definitely stay there again.

Great value and locationPosted Jul 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed 4 nights in this small hotel in the heart of Paris. The rooms are small (normal in Europe) and have a closet, desk and tv. The bathroom was updated recently- had a shower and bathtub an provided toiletries. The hotel has breakfast for 9Eur that is a good price for the area. The staff spoke English and Spanish and were very friendly. Regarding location, it is close to St. Paul station, as well as Notre Dame, shopping, and restaurant areas of the Marais and Latin Quarters.

Good value, good location.Posted Jun 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
The location of this hotel is a tremendous benefit, as it's within easy walking distant to many of the sites you will certainly want to see- Notre Dame, the Jewish Quarter- and only a block from a metro station from which (with a little studying of the map) you can get just about anyplace. It's not fair to say that the French are rude, I don't think, but do not expect anyone- hotel staff included- to fawn over you like they might here. They will be pleasant and will certainly help you if you ask, just don't take it personally if it doesn't seem to have that personal touch. As for the hotel itself, it was clean, pleasant, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. Pay the extra few bucks for a balcony room as the view from their 5th floor onto the Rue Rivoli is well worth it.

Hotel Paris Rivoli - in the Marais DistrictPosted Jun 19, 2013
Pros: Location (in the heart of Paris).
Cons: The room lighting is too dim. Issue wash clothes (only towels were issued).
Location: Near Saint Paul village, Victor Hugo house, Place de Vosges, Bastille, Notre Dame, Conciergerie, Hotel de Ville
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Paris Rivoli (HPR). While the rooms are modest and somewhat small, they are clean and well attended. The staff was very helpful.

Week in ParisPosted Jun 15, 2013
Pros: Everything worked , you didn't hear noise from the other rooms.
Cons: The tub is high so stepping out is a bite of a challenge.
Location: It was a great location to start and finish each day .
Francois was freindly and so helpful on locations and tours. The bed was wonderful ,room didn't have much of a view but we came to see Paris and you'd have to look hard to find a better value and place to start each day.
