“Good, economical hotel in the heart of the city”
Pavillon Montaigne was just right for us. Our goal was a comfortable but economical hotel within an easy walk of the Arc de Triumph and Eiffel Tower that served breakfast on-site. Done, done, and done.
The room was clean and simply furnished with room for a baby cot - kindly provided free of charge by the hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and it was great to enjoy a relaxing bath in a big tub after walking all day, although rooms may differ in what they contain. A simple but satisfying continental breakfast was included in the price we paid.
Although the hotel is in the middle of a busy business and tourist area, the street it's on is nice and quiet. We enjoyed getting bread, cheese and drinks at the small grocery right next door and having a simple dinner in our room one of the nights.
I was very happy that there were no price "surprises" at check-out or after on our credit card bill. Many hotels tack on cleaning charges and various ridiculous fees after you've left, and assume you won't take the time to refute them. This has happened to us with 2 other hotels before. At Pavillon Montaigne we paid what we were quoted, and that was that.
If we go to Paris again we'll go back, and are happy to recommend this experience to others.
