Excellent hotel in the heart of the Opera region.Posted Dec 12, 2013
Pros: Nice feel from the moment you stepped in.
Cons: Nothing in particular.
Location: Excellent, well located.
Stayed just the one night on a business trip. It could not have been more comfortable, with friendly staff and good sized, clean rooms. The breakfast and dining area were also very good quality. I would definitely recommend.

Hidden Gem in the Heart of ParisPosted Dec 5, 2013
Pros: The staff, accommodations, and location.
Location: Near the Bonne Nouvelle Metro stop (go to this metro to get your tickets), very close to all major tourist areas.
The hotel was a little hard to find, but once we arrived it was wonderful, a little inside hint is you want to get off at the Bonne Nouvelle stop. The staff were extremely helpful and told us all of the places to go, how far away they were from our hotel as well as the placed in Paris we should avoid. We had a room for three on the third floor and it was perfect- the bed was ENORMOUS- if we wanted to we could have fit all three of us in it comfortably. The bathroom was also nice as well, and the cleaning staff even folded our pjs and left them on the bed for us!!The walls are a little on the thin side, however for the price this was an excellent find, had a great stay and would highly recommend.

Great Base for Exploring ParisPosted Nov 7, 2013
Pros: The staff specifically Marchet (sp?) made our stay great!
Cons: We had some issues controlling the temperature in the room, but minor. We opened the window to cool it down.
Location: Underground locations were close and great local food options.
Great location. We walked from the train station to the hotel with our luggage with no problem and used the underground from several close locations. The building is older, but well kept. We had a king size bed and a single for three people with ample room for luggage and moving around. Large room for a 3 star hotel. The main lift is small, but you're in Europe, so to be expected. There is a service elevator around the corner you can use too. The staff was WONDERFUL, especially Marchet (sp?), wonderful recommendations for dinner and directions. We missed him when we moved on! Staff was also multilingual. The room had a safe and refrigerator. We grabbed fruit and water from a local market, which made for breakfast and snacks in the room. As three females we always felt safe walking around in the neighborhood and had plenty of local food options. This was our favorite hotel on our last trip...out of the 4 hotels we stayed at! Those with negative reviews probably need to adjust expectations to Europe and older buildings with smaller lifts, etc. Also, a little French goes a LONG way.

Ok hotel with easy access to CDG.Posted Nov 7, 2013
Pros: Hotel staff and the entrance to the hotel was nice
Cons: Blocking out of the noise
Stayed at the hotel so the drive to CDG in the morning would be easy, which it was, however the hotel was noisy all night (both outside and inside noise) and was not is the best part of town.

Four stars?Posted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: Beautiful stair cases, a massive bird screen that prevents any unwanted guests if you decide to open your window at night.
Location: The location isn't bad with respects to the Metro. You have to walk one block down and a half a block over to get to the hotel but its not terrible.
I should note that I was not in an executive level room. The only real issue I had was with noisy neighbors. Because the building is on a communal type heating/air conditioning system and because it was slightly cold outside I had a hard time regulating the temperature in my room without opening a window throughout the night, which caused my already noisy neighbors to be even more loud. I will say that the room was very clean but at the same time I can't say that I thought it was a four star type accommodation. The desk chair was in need of replacement (the joints kept coming lose), the wallpaper along the bottom of the window was slightly peeling and the curtains were not completely functional. The tv is definitely set up for maximum purchases as you have to go through three prompts just to view local channels, but who really goes to Paris to spend time in the hotel watching tv? The bathroom was clean but the tub had clearly seen better days.

Paris TripPosted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: interior, cost
Location: right by two metro stations which will get you anywhere
The air conditioning units didn't work and the room is very out dated. The location is good once you learn the metro

Decent hotel for the pricePosted Oct 24, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, free Wi-Fi, close to Metro stops
Cons: The rooms could be updated. Carpet had stains, furniture looked old. The shower is a big step up from bathroom floor - could be hard for elderly.
Location: Close to a few Metro stations. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
