Close to subway

Posted Dec 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very close to subway! Surrounding area cafes are overpriced - better to go to touristy areas like Louvre for breakfast. Girls that work desk are amazing - very friendly, knowledgeable and speak great english. The guy that works at night...not so much. Internet is free but only in the lobby. It is a good connection, but guy that works at night likes to blast his music or his own videos which makes it difficult for you to do the same. Rooms are clearly dated, but not bad for the price.

Decent cheap place

Posted Dec 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
The rooms are old and not the best looking. Elevators are way small, but stairs are easy to take. Neighborhood cafés are overpriced, it's cheaper to go to touristy spots like the louvre for breakfast. Subway stop is 50 ft away - amazing! Internet is free and good connection when in lobby. Girls that work there are very helpful, kind, and speak great English.

Good location, room was only OK

Posted Sep 22, 2013
Pros: Location and the breakfasts
Cons: Lighting in the room and more and better towels.
Location: Great neighborhood for walking. It's close to a "Melrose" type of area with vintage clothing stores and small stores with original merchandise.
There were no surprises, the staff is nice and the breakfasts which were included were good. This is a small hotel with a decent common area and a cordial front office staff. The Wi Fi is iffy in the second floor rooms but works fine in the common area. The room was a bit dissappointing, dark and only a couple lamps. Also, of course it was very small. However, there were two windows which looked out onto the street and were great for people watching. Be sure to ask for a room with windows. Overall it was alright based on the price we paid and it was Paris!

Small, quiet, convenient

Posted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: The location, and the smoking balcony
Cons: The bedding
Location: The location is literally a 3 minute walk to metro, and walking distance to tons of restaurants and shops, post office, atms, and bus stops
If youre looking for a fancy hotel, this is not for you. This is perfect for someone not looking to spend a lot of time in their hotel, its small, but comfy, and extremely convenient location wise. They have breakfast in the morning from 7am-10am, its not complimentary which i thought was a little ridiculous, but it was worth the 8.50. The only thing that made me feel a little uneasy was the bedding, its very old and had a stain. The staff was very welcoming and helped with anything needed. My stay at this hotel was enjoyable, its cute, old, and perfect for someone not expecting a high class experience.

Convenient hotel near centre of Paris

Posted Aug 31, 2013
Pros: Clean room, fresh towels regularly, very convenient & quite cheap.
Cons: Staff a trifle unconcerned...e.g, we had no head to the shower hose. We asked 3 times for it to be fixed, but nothing happened. Room overcrowded.
Location: Near Place de la Republique, metro station right outside.
We wanted something simple, within walking distance of central Paris, and not expensive. It was fine on those counts...but a bit shabby in the rooms, old fashioned furnishings, a bit noisy if you have a room backing onto the open stair well.

no air con

I've never known Paris hotels to be great but no air con in summer was pretty horrible. Bathroom door had punched holes in it and no shower head

backpacker hotel

Posted Aug 14, 2013
Pros: None
Location: Near central station
A travellers, backpacker hotel about 10 minutes walk from the central station. Don't expect too much when one books these type of hotels. Wifi is free in lobby area only.
