“Great stay in a great location”
Excellent service, especially from the concierge. Helpful for restaurant recommendations and reservations. Take advantage of the tickets they can sell you for the major museums to get easier access without waiting in long lines to buy tickets. Located in the center of everything, along with the charm of a beautiful property.
“Gorgeous Art Deco hotel.”
Will definitely return. Beautiful hotel with to-the-period appointments. Plush room with super modern bath. Super clean. Excellent Right Bank location across form Tuilleries Gardens and one block from Metro. Also close to major shopping. Staff was exceptionally friendly and courteous.
“Excellent location in a great Paris neighborhood”
This hotel is located right across from the Louvre. There are many nice cafes within walking distance. We were lucky enough to get a room with a great view of the Eiffel Tower. But even if we hadn't, I would have been satisfied with this hotel. It is in a very elegant building with nicely appointed rooms. They are small but most in Europe are. And who spends a lot of time in the room if you are in Paris! The staff was helpful and courteous. I have only one - and it is minor - complaint. In order to use the Business Center computer you have to get a special card and there is a .65 charge per minute for Internet use. With the amount you pay you would think they wouldn't charge for Internet use. So many run of the mill hotels don't even charge anymore. It seemed odd they do.
“Trip to Paris”
This hoyel is completely decadent
“Excellent location, hotel needs updating. Not impressed.”
While this hotel had a wonderful and convenient location I wouldn't recommend this hotel to those looking for luxury and modern updates.
“Uncaring, rude service and tiny rooms”
The good things about this hotel are its location and beautiful lobby/public rooms. That is about it. The reception staff was downright rude at both check-in and check-out. Totally uncaring. At check-out, the lady would not even look at me and kept the change as she claimed not to have small change to return to me! I had to carry all my heavy luggage with me as no porter in sight - that meant going through a revolving door because the reception staff refused to open the regular, non-revolving door with a ramp. I then had to find a taxi myself to go to the airport. All in all, rude service throughout. The hotel was full of Japanese guests and the reception staff was even more rude to them than they were to me. Horrible. This is such a pity for such a beautiful hotel. My room was absolutely tiny, hot (AC not working properly at all) and had an unclean feel to it. I do not recommend this hotel. If you enjoy good service, look elsewhere to avoid disappointment.
“Best Concierge Service”
We had a special family occasion to celebrate and contacted the hotel concierge tprior to our arrival to help us make appropriate plans. Not only did they respond immediately and help with the planning, they provided invaluable service while we were there. But I would recommend approaching the male concierge personal for assistance, as the female we worked with was rather snippy. All in all, however, we were delighted with the service we recieved from this hotel.
“Not impressed”
It is clear that the hotel has been refurbished but the room I was allotted could have been much better done. Pictures posted for the "classic room" were much better than the real thing. Views compensated a bit, however, for the downside of the room, as well as location.
“very good hotel and location”
Gorgeous lobby and rooms. Simply fantastic.
“Can't beat the location”
I was in Paris on business and decided to have my wife and daughter join me for a few days. We ended up at the Regina because we wanted a hotel with a central location. The Regina is across the street from the Louvre's northeast wing and I was familiar with the neighborhood from previous visits. It is between 2 stops on the metro and within walking distance of Opera Garnier, Les Halles, Pompidou and (obviously) the Louvre. The hotel is older but well maintained. If you like traditional style with creaky wooden floors (we do) then you'll like this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had cocktails in the bar and the bartenders were defintely "old school" (though the drinks themselves required a bit of coin). Paris is one of our favorite cities while we prefer apartments over hotels nothing beats staying in the center of everything.
