It was my second stay in this hotel. The first time it was in 2007. We had a big room and bathroom overlooking the lovely street. and the rate had breakfast, but it was booked through the travel agent. I have to admit my disappointment as the room that we were given this time was so small and overlooking some ugly building. It had double bad, very small bathroom, grayish towels. It should be suitable only for single occupant. Hotel is in need of renovation. Reception staff were friendly and gave us directions. The location of this hotel is great . We walked everywhere . Metro station is around the corner, close to department stores and many cafes.

Room: Small but clean and warm; beds firm and comfortable; bedding changed daily; television receives CNN; safe and fridge in room; not much cupboard space. Bathroom: Bath plus shower; space on basin for toiletries; constant hot water. Breakfast: Served in bright room; fresh breads and pastries; delicious coffee. Staff: Friendly; speak English. Location: Easy walking to major sights; three minutes from Madeleine metro (if travelling with luggage from Gare du Nord be aware that you have to change lines - lots of stairs!); many small caf├ęs in area.
