Decent hotelPosted May 3, 2011
Overall I was pleased with the hotel with a very friendly staff. The room was VERY small and the door to the bathroom did not close tightly, however, the room had large windows that opened fully to views of the Eiffle Tower. I would say it is fairly priced, has a good location as we walked to the Arc De Triumphe and the excellent shopping areas on the Champs Elysees and Avenue George V. My only major concern was that you are required to leave your room key at the reception desk when you leave the hotel and then you pick it up when you return. However, there were different people working at different times and when we would return you just say your room number and the key is handed to you, without checking for ID or anything, seems like a security issue to me. I do believe that I would stay here again.

A very uncomfortable character hotelPosted Apr 13, 2011
If you like character, you will like this hotel. If you like comfort, you will not. Where to start? A small room even by Paris standards. Rickety and sparse bedroom furniture, a bathroom door that would not close, windows that could not be secured – we were on the ground floor. Window shutters – well one was OK, the other was hanging off. Towels not changed during our stay. Even in April the room was too hot at night. On the plus side, the location is fantastic, a pleasant walk to many locations, a metro stop just five minutes away, and the staff are very pleasant. Character by the bag full, but little comfort
