“Quiet luxury”
Quiet luxury is the keynote here. Our de luxe room (acquired at Expedia's special rate) was impeccable - fine toiletries, separate bathroom and toilet, flat screen TV with BBC was well as many other channels. Ideal location near the Opera, the big department stores, and several metro stations. Highly recommended, but watch the prices.
“When we go back to Paris, this is where we will stay again.”
We were a party of 4 ladies (aged 40-48) on a weekend's shopping and sight seeing trip and had a fabulous time. The wow factor on arriving in the hotel lobby was excellent and the position is 5 mins from Galeries Lafayette dept store. Like all hotels, the bar was expensive but beautiful surroundings compensated. Even the shuttered windows opened to allow fresh air in instead of hermetically sealed rooms! And ladies, no need to take your own hairdryer - these were professionals ones not gentle ones leaving your hair frizzy. At the end of a hard day, the mattress toppers and pure linen on the beds made sleeping blissful.
“Would stay here again!”
Hotel Scribe is in a great location. Easy to walk to most attractions. Room was clean and good size. Staff was helpful.
“excellent”
luxe, calme et discretion, définitivement un grand hotel
“Paris vacation”
Hotel was centrally located, could walk to the Louve, close to public transportation, a lot of very nice sidewalk cafes to eat at. Hotel was rather pricey for meals, so we didn't eat there, not even for breakfast (which is NOT included).. Would definitely stay there again.
“Paris's Hotel Scribe: Elegance in a Perfect Location”
For a recent visit to Paris, we booked a week-long stay in the Hotel Scribe, and we were very pleased with our selection. Online reviews (and a look at maps of Paris) had suggested that the hotel was well-located, but the reviews did not do justice to just how perfectly situated the hotel is. Yes, as we were told, the Scribe is a short walk to a hub station on the Metro (the Opera station), with easy access to other parts of Paris. And it is within walking distance of the Place Vendome, the Louvre and the Tuileries Gardens. But what we had not been told is that the hotel is on the corner of a wide-sidewalked, tree-lined boulevard filled, block after block, with welcoming restaurants and shops that made for lovely evening walks and ample venues for dinner after returning to the hotel from a long day of sightseeing. The hotel is also a short walk from the Roissybus stop, allowing for direct, inexpensive (9 euro ea.) transportation to and from Charles DeGaulle Airport. Finally, the hotel itself was elegant and comfortable, with friendly, helpful staff. With the exception of an isolated housekeeping snafu on one day, and having to ask three times for delivery of a rollaway bed on our arrival day, it was a perfect stay. I highly recommend the Scribe and would happily stay there again.
“Amazing hotel!”
One of the nicest hotels I've stayed at! Awesome location in the opera district that's super convenient to all the sites in Paris! Our room was very clean and modern and housekeeping kept it clean everyday. The concierge was very helpful in getting us reservations and helping us with directions. Very polite! Loved every second of our stay at the scribe!
“Great Hotel”
Great hotel in a great area of Paris. Clean and comfortable. The beds were the most comfortable of any of the hotels on the trip.
“Awesome hotel”
This was my 3rd visit to Paris, and by far this was the best hotel I have stayed in. The room was fantastic and the front desk crew just SUPER nice =) Hotel Scribe is the place to stay when visiting Paris, even if you are on budget =)
