Pleasantly surprisedPosted Mar 13, 2014
Pros: Staff was excellent, room was clean and quiet.
Cons: Had to step up to get in and out of shower which was a little tricky, especially getting out when it was slick.
Location: Close to Gare L'est and Gare Nord, metro stop with in walking distance, and so was stop for bus tour. Several eating places and markets.
Rooms looked just like the pictures. Staff went out of their way to help us with everything we asked about from how to get around to booking a maxi taxi for airport at a good price. Would think twice about staying there if the weather was warmer, no a/c, just fan. Had to open window even in early March to cool room off at night. Still was pleasantly surprised and very pleased, especially for the price. Location was convenient to train station, metro, and hop-on-hop-off bus stop.

Valentines stayPosted Feb 16, 2014
Stayed at this hotel a few days ago for a 2 night valentines break & was very impressed! Rooms aren't huge but we only opted for the standard rate so wasn't expecting anything more! Very very clean, new bed sheets and towels each day.. Hotel staff were nice and helpful and spoke good English, all we wanted! Even though we booked the hotel on price rather than location, the location was still excellent and within walking distance to lots of nice places! Would definitely return for another city break to paris :)

Very nice hotel with helpful and friendly staffPosted Feb 10, 2014
Very nice hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Room was very adequate for what we wanted, as we were out all day and only came back to sleep there! There weren't any tea/coffee facilities, but there was a minibar fridge if you wanted to use it, but we didn't bother. The metro station we used was Jacques Bensergent which was a 3 minute walk away and we found it very useful for linking in with other lines to get to the centre for the attractions. All in all, very good.

Fantastic ServicePosted Jan 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed at Hotel Soft for 4 nights over new year. The rooms were small but cleaned daily and the street was quiet. The location is great (very close to tube stations) with local restaurants all around which are reasonably priced. What made the stay for us was the staff who where attentive, friendly and did everything in their power to make us feel welcome. We will be staying at this hotel again.

comfy bed, good service, good locationPosted Oct 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
For Paris standards the Soft Hotel was fine. Comparing Paris with other places in Europe the cost is far too high. It is all a matter of supply and demand relationship and I am afraid there is a high demand of hotels accommodation in Paris what makes hotel owners and administrators lazy. Why to provide better service if they are still getting good money anyway? Service was fine and so was the location.

Good option in an expensive cityPosted Oct 10, 2013
Had a nice stay here. It's comfy and clean. Nothing special but a solid choice for the price given the extreme prices in paris. It has some very nice restaurants nearby too. I would stay here again.

Close to gare de l'estPosted Oct 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
We thought this hotel was close to both train stations when we booked as we came into Paris from Gare de Nord and were leaving from Gare de L'est. It's much closer to Est (easy walking distance) than Nord (need a taxi) The hotel is small but we only stayed for one night so that wasn't a problem. The beds were very comfortable but our room did not have air conditioning (we had a fan); had it been summer this room would have been hot. The bath had a tub/shower combo with a very deep tub making it quite difficult for us older folks to climb over to use the shower. No shampoo/conditioner was provided; bring your own. For our purposes, this hotel worked. But, had we been staying in Paris any longer, we would have definitely chosen a different part of town.

close to Gare du Nord and planned travelPosted Sep 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was an overnight stop for us to catch a train early the next morning. It worked as planned. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Small but well-suited for our purpose.

Tiny rooms but cleanPosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Room was tiny but I gather this is a Parisian thing. It was very clean and tidy and had a decent bathroom. Didn't try the breakfast as there were plenty of restaurants around the corner. Very close to Gare de l'est so perfect for taking the metro to site see. I would definitely stay there again.
