Chic, cosy hotel in Paris

Posted Nov 11, 2014
Lovely hotel just a short metro ride into the heart of Paris. The staff are very friendly and my room was well equipped, chic and clean. I would certainly recommend the hotel and would go back if I go to Paris again.

Disappointing Hotel

Posted Nov 7, 2014
Cons: More honest photos of rooms
Booked this hotel for short break for two adults and one child, looked great from the photos and seemed in a great location. Arrived to find we had to pay extra for childs bed, (an error on hotel information we have since resolved with expedia... but beware) It's not a family hotel. Room we had looked nothing like photos, lamps either side of the bed had badly fitted shades, main lamp stand in room didn't work and very poor shower. All in all quite disappointing and up a very dodgy side street with homeless people sleeping in archway, not great for walking through in an evening with our daughter.

Adjacent to metro

Posted Oct 29, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness
Cons: Bathroom size
Location: Handy for 3 metro stations which provide easy access to all the sights of Paris
A comfortable and clean hotel with mainly knowledgeable and helpful staff, and reliable wifi. The hotel has easy metro links to Paris and has many cafes and restaurants nearby. The room was small with a tiny bathroom, but clean and suitable for a short break, though those with more luggage may suffer from the lack of space. Overall a very pleasant change from large chain hotels and a pleasant experience was enjoyed.

Quiet and peaceful hotel, friendly staff

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: The peace and quiet.
Cons: We thought the breakfast was a bit expensive.
Location: As above
We had a lovely stay here. hotel was clean and very quiet, the staff friendly and helpful. it is situated near the Republique area which is very lively and has lots of caf├ęs and bars. Also a couple of excellent boulangeries nearby. We mostly walked everywhere and the hotel is roughly a one hour twenty minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower but there is of course a great bus and metro service.

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Taylor. The staff were friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel is on a side street so it's very quiet at night. Great location too. Will definitely stay there again.

nice small place

Posted Aug 24, 2014
stayed 3 nights there, tiny little place with welcoming staff. its close to all attractions, walking distance to republic square, even louve, 20 mins walking in the morning, see a little bit quiet Paris, awesome. it gets everything you need, elevator fits in two people, wifi access in room, clean toilet, quiet location. there's few homeless living down, they were talking some time during the night. its not too bad

Not Great.

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: The staff were helpful and provided information when requested. Good English was spoken.
Cons: 1. The lift was poor. 2. My room was left open one day. 3. The safe deposit box was not fixed down.
Location: Not a great area but handy for the Metro and local rail stations.
This hotel is in a poor and run down area of Paris and I did not feel comfortable walking around at night. On the plus side, it is reasonably close to the Metro. My room was on the 6th floor and was very stuffy. Had to have window open all of the time and the fan running to keep cool. The bathroom needed to be updated and had installed the smallest bath I have ever seen. The shower over the bath was good. The lift was tiny, slow and looked to be very old. Of major concern was that I found my room open one day when I got back to the hotel. I am assuming that this was by the cleaning staff. There was nothing missing from the room so no harm done but it could have been so much worse. The staff on the reception desk were always helpful and spoke good English.
