Pros: Contemporary finishings, well appointed and large room by paris standards, personable, fantastic central location.
Location: 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, 10 minute walk to Champs-Elysees. Fantastic location in a very safe and inner-city location.
Totally loved this boutique, inner-city hotel. Amazing room with quality furnishings and personal touches (eg. freshly baked cookies each morning, in-room coffee maker). I'd have no hesitation in returning

Friendly ParisPosted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: Pleasant decor and prompt and efficient service. The homemade biscuits are a treat.
Cons: The size of the wardrobe closet.
Location: The Eiffel Tower and wonderful bakeries.
The new Thoumieux is friendly and welcoming, blending the old and the new in a comfortable setting.

Great location, small but cute rooms, great bistroPosted Oct 3, 2013
Pros: Old world charm decor that was fresh and clean, great location.
Great location, walk to Eiffel 15 mins, near Invalides metro and near RER-C if you need to go to Versailles! I arrived around 1pm and my room would not be ready until 3pm, so I went downstairs to the bistro. I had no idea but this hotel has two restaurants - one high end degustation style and one bistro. Lunch was spectacular - mushrooms, pizza "soufflé" and a take on chocolate profiteroles. All recommended! My room was very cute but quite small- I was alone though so maybe it was only single occupancy? Beautifully decorated with lots of considerations such as iPod Dock, fresh baked cookies, embossed slippers (both a men's and women's size!!), robe, and a free water. Small touches but all very appreciated. The front desk attendant was really helpful. However I had to leave really early at 7am and the attendant at that time was much less knowledgable.

Fabulous location, design hotelPosted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: The design.
Cons: Functionality of room
Location: Eiffel Tower is pretty close and is visible whenever you walk down the street.
We loved the location of this hotel but the double room was far too small for 2 people. It shouldn't really be offered as a double room. There wasn't anywhere to hang towels, let alone 2; no surfaces to empty your pockets etc. I know Paris hotels are small, but it comes down to the functionality of the space. For a double room .... UPGRADE or book another hotel. Everything else was lovely. The coffee machine was brilliant. The patisserie across the road is brilliant!

Lovely hotel, exceptional hospitalityPosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: The staff. Beyond friendly, helpful, and always went the extra mile to make our trip enjoyable.
Cons: Not much. Our room was small, but that was to be expected in central Paris. What it lacked in size, it surely made up for in character and design!
Location: Great location. Within walking distance of the Eiffel Tour, Musée d'Orsay, the Louvre, etc. Lots of boulangeries, bistros, and shops nearby.
Can't express enough how wonderful the staff at Hotel Thoumieux was during our stay. They absolutely went above and beyond (printing off theater tickets because we had forgotten to do so prior to our trip, arranging transportation, offering to have espresso waiting for us before we took off early the next morning) -- and always with a genuine smile. The location is very convenient as well. Easy to walk to popular tourist spots, jump on the metro, or get lost in nearby neighborhoods. The street has lots of cute shops and restaurants as well as a grocer and pharmacy (in case you forgot to pack something). And if you're like my husband and get tired of wine and Stella Artois, there's an Irish pub next door with Guinness. The room was very small, but had a ton of character and a cool design. Stocked with everything you'd need: robes, slippers, Aesop shampoo/conditioner/soap, toothpaste, and a box of housemade cookies when you arrive. Very quiet as well.

FantasticPosted Jul 28, 2013
Beautifully designed hotel. Perfect location (5-min from a metro stop and 10-min from Eiffel Tower). Well maintained and clean. The nicest staff. And most importantly - the most comfortable beds.

Its a very small hotel with narrow stairs. The rooms are very nice and clean, even if the patterns are a bit loud
