“This hotel slightly overrated because the of cost of food.”
This hotel is centrally located aand close to everything in Paris. The staff is very nice. The quality of food is very good but very expensive.
“I will go back again to this hotel”
The hotel is perfect and comfortable the area is very interesting sure if I fly again to Paris I would stay in this hotel.
“Great Hotel for a Romantic Weekend in Paris”
This is an exceptional hotel. We arrived at 6AM into Paris, they let us use the showers in the spa, held our luggage in a safe area while we visited the sights, and checked us in early when a room became available. The hotel is beautiful, great location, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Great experience for my wife and I. While we were there, a very large fashion show was going on in the city, and the hotel was full. They still had time to help us with restaurant suggestions, booking city tours, arranged for us to buy museum tickets without having to wait in line (The Louvre), and more. This was definitely one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.
“Will return, worth every penny!!”
This hotel although pricey, was top notch all the way! The interior design, fresh orchids in the lobbies, afternoon tea, over the top breakfast buffet. The experience was amazing!! Staff was friendly, extrmely helpful and professional. They were doing ungrades on my floor, but the workers kept the noise to a minimium. The Metro does run underneath the hotel, yes you do hear the rumbling, but i was on the top floor, it did not disturb my sleep. The hotel location is ideal for catching tour buses, airport drop off service metro, shopping, and just great walking attractions. If you want a hotel that has a "french feel" this is the place to be. Book a room with breakfast included..worth every penny!
“Beautiful, expensive hotel in beautiful neighborhood”
My wife, daughter and I spent spring break in Paris. We stayed at this hotel in the Opera district. The staff was friendly and helpful and they spoke English and other languages I'm sure. The room was large; I was expecting it to be a smaller European-style room. It had all the amenities of an upscale American hotel room that caters to business travelers. It had a king-size bed and we got a portable bed for our daughter. There was plenty of room for the portable bed. The TV had channels in several languages. The room was cold on our arrival; we called the front desk and they addressed the problem immediately and the room was never cold again. They even brought us a portable heater. The neighborhood is very clean and safe and convenient. The Louvre, Tuileries Gardens, and Place Vendome are all within walking distance. It is close to several Metro lines, and the Roissybus, which runs express to Charles de Gaulle Airport, stops a block away. My only criticism is that for the price of the room, we should have gotten free or cheap Internet service. There is no Wi-Fi in the room, just an obsolete dial-up connection and high-speed Internet through the TV that cost 7 euros a day. Wi-Fi in the lobby also cost 7 euros a day. We were sightseeing most of the time but it would have been nice to be able to check on our flight or the weather online. I would recommend this hotel to anyone except people who need to be online all the time.
“Great hotel experience”
My husband and I loved our stay at the Intercontinental. The Concierge desk was very helpful with activities and reservations, and the hotel was beautiful. Loved how it is connected to Cafe de la Paix, and the lobby bar area is wonderful. Our room was also great - very French-feeling, which we loved (though it was quite small). Size aside, our stay was very pleasant and would definitely return to this hotel, and recommend it whole-heartedly. Note - we also found it walkable to many nearby monuments/attractions - very convenient location.
“Luxurious, hotel”
The hotel was fantastic. after we upgraded we were utterly satisfied and it seemed to be worth the extra money. The staff were completely accommodating, we were afforded every amenity an dI would go back tomorrow if I could. We do not speak French and that was not an obstacle. The concierge helped us to confirm day trips we had booked before arriving. A wonderful experience!!
“Intercontinetal Paris”
Nice hotel, people service at the entrace very good but reception and others not that great. Nice location, nice view to the tower if you have the rigth room.
“Great location”
The hotel is at a very convenient location. We took the Roissy bus from CDG airport to Opera, the hotel is 2 blocks away from the Opera bus stop. We arrived a bit after 11AM, they had room for us, no problem to check in at all. The room is a little small, they had to put in an extra bed for our teenage son. The extra bed makes it even harder to move around in the room, but it was ok, since we were out sightseeing majority of the time. Our room faced the back road, there is no view at all. The room smells new paint, they should've really aired it out. Overall, I would still recommend the hotel. The location is best, it's close to metro station (Opera stop), and various bus stops. It's a very busy and safe neighborhood, tons of restaurants and cafes to choose from.
“Will definitely return!”
We absolutely loved this hotel! The overall decor was spectacular as was our room. It's across the street from the Opera House and within walking distance of a ton of cafes, designer shopping, and a sightseeing tour. We even walked to the Louvre. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and got us everywhere we wanted to go. There are 2 convenient metro stops and Moulin Rouge is only about a 10 minute cab ride. Per previous reviews, we had read that dining in the hotel was expensive, and that was most certainly the case. We'd recommend venturing out to a cafe (2-5 minute walk) or heading down the block to Subway, McDonalds, or Pizza Hut to save a few bucks. Of course, the hotel restaurants and bar are wonderful, so I'd at least eat/drink there once.
