“Extremely satisfied”

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Cayre. The hotel is sparklingly welll maintained and in a superb location. The staff was most pleasant. It was a really good experience.

Area recommendations
I am most familiar with the 6th and 1st arondissments and would recommend those.
Getting around
The best way to see Paris is on foot, in my opinion, so, if you have only a few days there and you've covered the high points on other trips, you should pick a well located hotel and walk, walk, walk!!

“Quiet Superb Hotel on Left Bank of Paris- American friendly”

We chose this site from prior reviews and are pleased to have done so. The staff will speak as much French as you wish to, then when guest is feeling lazy- go into fluent 'Anglaise' Very quiet, close to two very nice Brasseries, as well as a short walk to the Louvre (across the Seine), and d'Orsay. Rodin is 5 blocks away and you have a Metro 100 feet, and bus directly to the Effiel on the corner. Need anything more? Hotel breakfast is elegant, but at $30Euro each, not particularly a 'good deal'. More fun to go out and explore. Would stay again in an instant. If you want a more lively neighborhood (with associated risk of noise, bustle, etc) would try a Right bank site. K&K delivered. Nice Hotel!

“Superb Location and staff”

Our stay here was ideal for visiting and learning about Paris for the first time. The hotel is located about a ten minute walk from the Louve and Orsay. It is across the street from a Metro and local bus stop. We couldn't have picked a better location! The bartender offered to run out and get me bottled water when the nearby store was closed at night. The staff went over and above anything we expected in helping us find place and making our stay fun. This hotel is one of the reasons I will visit Paris again soon.

“I have found my perfect Paris hotel”

The K & K Hotel Cayre was, for me, a real find and a great location. I wanted a hotel near the Louvre and the Orsay and the Orangerie and that is what first drew me to this hotel. It is also very close to the Maillol Museum and a 20 minute walk to the Rodin Museum. It is a short stroll to the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal. We walked to a concert at Saint Germain des Pres in about 15 minutes. One of the best things is that the Metro (Line 12) is right outside the front door of the hotel. The room was very nice with space for luggage and room to move with good A/C. The bath was just fine spacewise with a good shower and tub. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and well maintained. The Cayre surpassed my expectations. I was sorry to leave.

Area recommendations
The area around the H&H Carye is near the Louvre and the Orsay Museums. The area is safe and not noisy. Right down the street (a one minute walk) is a fine cafe-restaurant-bar called "Brasserie Saint Germain" which has a good menu, whether you want breakfast, a glass of wine, a cocktail, a full (delicious) meal or a snack, The Metro Line 12 is right at the front door of the hotel; you can take the Air France Bus from Charles de Gaulle to the Montparnasse Station and there catch Metro Line 12 to the hotel (Rue de Bac station).
Must see
MONET! If you like Monet, don't miss the Musée Marmottan. This museum holds the key Impressionist work "Impression: Sunrise" and a multitude of other Monet paintings. If you visit the Marmottan and the Orangerie, you will be seeing some of the very best Monet works that Paris has to offer. I went with a friend (we both enjoy art) and these two museums were Monet highpoints.
Dining
For a special night at a famous (and excellent) restaurant, I recommend La Coupole. It is a busy place with Parisians and tourists enjoying excellent food from a varied menu. It is easy to access on the Metro.

“2nd time love it”

this is our second year in a row we stayed at the k & K Cayre in paris. We absolutely love this hotel its location is very centrally located in Paris. The metro station is literally steps from the front door,many sights are within walking distance. We have found this hotel to be very clean the staff was always very helpfull. The rooms are very typical european and well apointed. We could not be more pleased with everything overall and the price was reasonable. If we were to return to Paris in the future the K & K woild be a must.

“Recommended with a caveat”

This is the perfect hotel if you want a nice, very clean hotel in the best (in my opinion) neighborhood of Paris. The service was not at all attentive, though--disappointing since it's a boutique hotel, where guests typically expect some semblance of personalized service. I recommend it if you want a nice, clean home base in the perfect location and don't want or require service beyond "satisfactory when requested." If you are a first time visitor or are looking for intuitive service and thoughtful recommendations, you may want to look elsewhere.

Area recommendations
All of it! Don't even bother with the Metro, unless you're short on time or have difficulty walking long distances. Everything in Paris is within walking distance. You'd miss most of the charm of Paris and its residents if you just ride from one site to the next.

“Loved it”

The staff was pleasant and helpful. Expedient check-in and wonderful room. All amenities were available. Breakfast was not included, but they had a wonderful selection...more than expected. Metro entrance was a couple feet away from hotel and easy to get around the entire city.

“Great hotel, great location”

K & K was a wonderful hotel in a great location (walked to the Louvre, Musee de Orsay, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, Champs de elysee) and it is also directly across from the metro. The only disappointing thing that happened is that one of the front desk people recommended a restaurant that was not good and we ended up spending way too much for bad service and bad food. Otherwise the people were always very helpful and forgiving to those of us who do not speak French. Breakfast buffet was spectacular, but if it's not included in your room, it's very pricey.

Area recommendations
St Germaine. Interesting shops, restaurants, sights within walking distance.
Dining
Had a spectacular dinner at Maison Blanche in the Right Bank area. Views are incredible, food is wonderful, very romantic.

“Would stay there again.”

The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. They were vere informative when we ask them about getting around and in booking our tours. The only thing I wish, is that they would be able to check us in earlier. After flying all night and arriving at 7:00 am, and dying for some rest, we had to wait untill 1:30 to get into our room.
