Good location for Gare Du Nord/Eurostar travellersPosted Jul 21, 2014
Cons: Air Conditioning unit did not work really well.
Location: Sacre Coeur, Montmartre, Dali Museum
Hotel is directly opposite Gare du Nord - ideal for travelling on Eurostar and Gare du Nord can easily get to most metro lines in Paris or outer suburbs. Small hotel, we had a clean room and firm bed with good shower - all we needed as we were out most of the time.

Nice location but shower filthy and blocked.Posted Jul 1, 2014
Good location. Building full of character. Reception staff a bit cold. Shower was blocked by hairs from previous clients and left over soap and shower gel were there. It had obviously not been cleaned which put me off a bit. Had the receptionist been more pleasant I would have said something but he was a little dismissive when we asked about whether we could leave our luggage in the entrance hall.

Such a shame!Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: The bed was comfortable.
Cons: Lights, showers, décor, clean linen.
Location: Opposite Gare du Nord station
We chose the Kyriad because of its close proximity to Gare du Nord station. As we were travelling as a group of 14 it was a good central location to enable us to go our separate ways and reconvene again. However, on arrival I immediately felt disappointed. Staff were polite but not really friendly. The lift was not worth taking as it could just about hold two people with luggage so we took the stairs. The winding stairwell is very unloved and in need of renovation. The room smelt musky and was so small the double bed took up all of the room. Apparently the twin rooms are more roomy. Neither of our bedside lights worked so the overhead light was the only option. The shower trickled and had to be positioned in the most upright position otherwise it would just flop all the way down. The cubicle was so small we had to choose to be pressed against the curtain or the controls (we are not big people). The final straw was when I choose to add an extra pillow to the bed which was stored in a plastic cover on a shelf. I removed the cover to find a large sticky patch which could only be described as having been made by a leaky mouth from a previous visitor!!! Yuk! On a positive note, the bed was very comfortable and I did get a good night's sleep.

All I needed.Posted Nov 20, 2013
Pros: Excellent location - right opposite Gare du Nord, adjacent restaurants. Room very comfortable, clean quiet & well presented. Great value for money.
I needed a room to sleep in between the end of the France/New Zealand Rugby game at Stade de France & my early morning train departure the following morning. Kyriad ticked all the boxes for me.
