Horrible servicePosted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Nothing. We felt horrible from the first night that ruined the trip.
Cons: Bankruptcy of the hotel.
Our family stayed at this hotel for 3 nights (prepaid unfortunately), ( 2 adults, 3 yr. old and an 8 month old). The service could not be worse. They told us that our children, including our 8 month old, were considered adults. Therefore, we would have to purchase another room to accommodate the size of our family. The second room was full price, and management was unwilling to budge the slightest on the matter. In the first night they added a cot bed and charged us 100 euro for that in addition the room. It felt like we were being swindled because they knew we had little choice. I do not believe that there is a hotel in this world with such a terrible treatment. We felt that we were convicts and thieves not visitors. I'm sure there are other hotels that would provide better service and a positive parisian experience than this one. Keep looking.

great location, great bed but noisy ACPosted Jun 24, 2014
Cons: ac noisy
Location: great cafes, arc of triumph
the first night, the AC was making a terrible sound, I called the reception and the guys words were I cant do nothing for you.. that was not nice.. the AC was never fixed in my 3 nights, so we slept with the windows open . staff is friendly.. depending on who you talk to. the place is very near the arc of triumph, which is good for walking around the area. the room is spacious, bed very confortable, and bathroom amazingly big for Europe and very clean! I hope they fix the AC noise.. the people on reception, careless and you will enjoy the night.

Central - easy to reach sightsPosted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: Comfortable room with everything needed for a pleasant stay.
Cons: Noises from heating/water pipes etc. and could hear other guests doors banging which woke us up several times.
Location: fantastic location and easily accessible to sights either by walking or all public transport.
Great hotel in city centre which was accessible to all main attractions.

Not a business hotelPosted Oct 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
I arrrived and was shown to my room quickly--a big plus! However, I wanted to order room service but was told the kitchen didn't open until 5pm. When I called back at 5pm I was told the kitchen opened at 6:30pm. The front desk then called back and said there were many restaurants nearby that I could visit. Ok, this is Paris. The staff was always very courteous, just not what you would expect of a business hotel. I'm sure it would be lovely if you were a tourist. Location was wonderful.

Good for a short stayPosted Sep 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
A sensible sized and comfortable room. There was a lack of facilities in the room, such as an iron or trouser press, and general storage. The ensuite bathroom was a good size and clean but it was looking in need of a refit especially the leaking shower screen. The hotel would benefit from offering food other than the cold food room service only.

A gemPosted Jun 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was my wife and my first time to visit Paris. We had been warned not to expect too much from our hotel stay-- but we found the opposite. The Pergolese was very comfortable, clean with a very helpful and friendly staff. We would strongly recommend it.
