Character hotel with helpful staff
Nice helpful staff. Hotel is quite typical of most Parisian hotels I’ve stayed in in that there are plumbing issues and tight spaces associated with older properties. Whilst a little frayed around the edges the hotel has a lot of character and is close to the metro and is even walking distance to several sights. Breakfast was simple but sufficient, again comparing somewhat more favourably with the many other hotels I’ve stayed in in Paris over the years.

Cozy and spacious
Super cozy room, much bigger than I expected (superior twin), quiet, with a lot of natural light. Would absolutely return!

The staff was excellent. Clean, clean, clean. Loved the vibe and the hotel had a certain panache to it. Recommended highly, and I would stay there again!

My wife and I spent a week here for our Anniversary. The whole staff was great and very helpful. This hotel is cery close to everything you need and less then 5 minute walk to train and bus stations. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks staff!!

A pleasant small hotel that has retained some original features. The room I had was good size compared to many other Paris hotels of this level -- it was 183 sq ft. I have learned to look for the sq footage before booking, as photos are deceptive. One little glitch was the building fire alarm went off at 5 AM one morning, everyone was out in the street for 30 minutes. Apparently due to kitchen cooking mistakes. There was no apology. They could have at least posted a Notice later or even made a little wine offering, etc. After all, it was a considerable inconvenience that was their fault.

The hotel is very rustic and old. The doors still use a key. I got stuck in the bathroom bc the door locks are ancient and stiff. Reminded me of Transylvania. The fire alarm went off at 5am. The tv was very small. Nothing modern in the hotel. Needs an upgrade. Everything is old and rickety. The hotel staff could be a little more friendlier.

Hotel Relais Monceau is located conveniently close to the metro, restaurants, supermarkets and bakeries. The hotel itself was very nicely appointed. My wife and I chose a room with a terrace and enjoyed eating outside in the mornings and evenings. Our only wish is that the doors were not so heavily sprung. Some guests that moved in shortly after we did had a habit of releasing the door from its maximum extent and the resulting slam was annoying. This kept happening every ten to fifteen minutes. Luckily those guests did not stay for a long time.

Good location
3 night stay in the terrace room with grown up kids in a twin room. Great location 15 minutes from Opera/gare saint lazare, but only 2 minutes from Villiers métro station and plenty of local cafes, bars etc. Rooms were nice and comfortable (the terrace would be nice on a warm day) and the staff were helpful and friendly

Good 3* hotel!
Nice, comfortable, clean hotel with friendly staff. Only used it as a place to sleep for two nights while seeing Paris. A good 3* hotel. Booked as special offer - any more and I would have been disappointed!

One woman at the front desk was rude when I questioned her math when giving me change, I was correct by the way. The rest of the front desk staff was great. The lobby is nice but the rooms are really round down. The location was great. Not sure I would stay again, not my idea of a 4Star hotel. That being said the room was larger than the previous hotel we stayed at.

Excellent hotel and very conveniently located
Very nice hotel, close to key attractions and the Metro. The only downside was that the air conditioning was a little weak - this would not be a problem most of the time but also on very hot days.

Perfectly Placed Hotel
Perfectly placed hotel , with many restaurants and shops nearby. Probably the best thing is that its just a few minutes walk to the Metro which then gives you access to all of Paris. Breakfast was reasonable for the price. Bottled water was not.

there are a few restaurant nearby and bakery store nearby easy access to metro system What i don't like is the hotel turn their main air condition off especially after mid night and I have to open the window in ordewr to sleep.

Located in a very beautiful and quiet neighbourhood, a mere 2-minute walk to the Metro line (closest to the Villiers stop). Very easy to use the Metro to get to all of the site-seeing spots we wanted to get to - we did everything we wanted to do, and it didn't take very long to get anywhere! Lots of local restaurants and bistros, some of which are located right across the street. The room was nice - a bit small for two people, but beautifully decorated, with a large window overlooking the street. The bathroom was lovely, with two large sinks and a shower. The room also had central air, which you could control in the room, so that was a big comfort after running around all day in the sun.

Perfect spot

Disappointing for a 4 star hotel
We picked this hotel because we were leaving to go on a tour which stayed here. We arrived 2 days early and thought it would be easier not to have to change hotels (including the tour we actually stayed at this hotel for 5 days). In certain regards, the hotel is charming, but the rooms and bathrooms are so dark and dingy that you can hardly see (not to mention the hand-held shower heads). Our room was cleaned every day but others complained that only their towels were changed. The location is very inconvenient - you need to change metros 2 times to go just about anyplace. The desk help, is at best, indifferent. The person at the desk did not seem to know how much a daily metro pass was or if there was an Englsih news channel (such as CNN). The hotel has a nice garden and is in a nice residential neighborhood near a beautiful park but the bakery and many restaurants were closed on Sunday. I find it difficult to understand how this is a 4 star hotel.

Nice location with lovely lobby. Rooms are poorly sound-proofed so very noisy. Old style bath with no shower head, only hand held, thus difficult to standup shower. Room cleaned but bed not properly remade only pulled up. Old style blankets.

The hotel was in a great location. I was disappointed at their clerical staff, but management was great. The rooms were small and amenities scarce. I would not rate this hotel a 4 star. More like 3 stars.
