FANTASTIC HOTEL!!!Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: See above! EVERYTHING!!!
Cons: A very small thing...make the shower door longer so water doesn't escape the tub when showering. Other than that....nothing!
Location: stunning location near RER train, Notre Dam, St Germain, Rue Mouffetard, Luxembourg Gardens, Pantheon. Great restaurants, bakeries, shops all nearby!
What an amazing hotel. Was very ill on the flight over and arrived early to the hotel. After hearing how sick I had been, they arranged a room very quickly so I could rest. What a charming, lovely room, with a box of macarons, a welcoming note and a balcony view of the Pantheon. The staff is superb! We asked questions about travel, restaurants, everything and we were always met with a smile and great answers. This was not our first time in Paris, but we wanted to stay in this area. What a location near St. Germain, Notre Dam, the Lourve, Luxembourg Gardens, Eiffel Tower, even Sacre Couer (okay, maybe too far!) Get a map and just wander! As I said, the hotel is lovely! The honesty bar was a great place to have a coffee or drink after a long day and before heading back out at night. We loved our room, which was simply decorated in a very elegant way, and looking out from our balcony was a treat! I had mentioned that it was a special birthday for me and one evening a bottle of champagne was delivered. The staff had remembered! WOW! This staff is amazing. I can only remember Morgan and Serge's names, but everyone was helpful, smiling and always asking about our day and how I was feeling. Superb location near the RER train, great bakeries, restaurants (try Au Port du Salut around the corner. Pricey but very delicious) Walk every where and just enjoy one beautiful area after another. Fantastic staff, fantastic hotel, fantastic time in Paris! Thank you, Le Relais St. Jacques!

Excellent small hotel.Posted Feb 26, 2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful and professional staff.
Cons: Tea and coffee facilities; more milk and breakfast tea bags.
Location: Within walking distance of many of the Big Sites and RER. Abundance of restaurants closeby to suit all budgets. Useful supermarket on Blvd St.Michel.
I took my teenage children to Paris during half term, their first visit to the city. The hotel is in a relatively peaceful area, close to the Jardin du Luxembourg. Although the hotel doesn't serve meals, there is a menu for room service (which we did not use) and plenty of restaurants to suit all budgets in the immediate area and within walking distance towards the Latin quarter. Room facilities were adequate, though the tea and milk sachets were insufficient (unless you drink green tea) and not replaced daily. The toiletries were lovely but also not replaced when finished. Breakfast was exactly the same each day but tasty and the dining-room clean and cheerful. Our only problem concerned a boulangerie near the hotel where we bought filled rolls which gave two of our party food poisoning on the final day and the staff tried to short-change us twice; an unpleasant end to an enjoyable few days.

Great hotel, wonderful staff, convenient locationPosted Jan 27, 2014
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay. Our room was small but had a good deal of Parisienne charm. The hotel staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations for food and adventures.

A Small Gem in the Center of ParisPosted Oct 5, 2013
This is a nice hotel, very elegant and close to patisseries and restaurants. Surprisingly quiet given the central location. Our bedroom and bathroom were very small, which I had not expected given the room rate. The occupant of the room below was a smoker and this forced us to keep the windows closed to avoid inhaling. Car parking was 35 euros per day in a nearby parking structure.

Wonderful Boutique hotel in charming Latin QuarterPosted Jul 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
We have stayed at Relais Saint Jacques many times during our visits to Paris. The hotel staff goes above and beyond to make the trip special by assisting you with restaurant reservations, providing information for sightseeing, and and helping you with other requests. We upgraded to the Deluxe room this trip and enjoyed having a small balcony overlooking the Pantheon, great for having your morning coffee and evening glass of wine! We also enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts complete with croissants, eggs, granola, delicious yogurt and freshly squeezed orange juice. Perfect hotel two blocks from the Luxembourg gardens!
