Fantastic! Would Highly Recommend It!

Posted May 20, 2015
Pros: Loved the location and the staff.
Location: Close to metro stops, La Gare Montparnasse and to the Air France Airport bus. It's a short walk away from Le Jardin du Luxembourg.
This hotel is nestled in my favorite neighborhood in Paris. It's so convenient to 3 metro stops, Vavin, Edgar Quinet and Montparnasse. It's surrounded by the best cafes and creperies in town. The hotel itself is charming and very clean. Even though the phone was continuously ringing and the front desk was always packed, the staff was fantastic. They were always smiling and extremely accommodating with our every request. They confirmed my restaurant reservations, provided a bottle opener and looked up my favorite grocery store from 20 years ago. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris.

Great location for getting around in Paris. Hotel had everything you needed and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Minor point is the walls are a little bit thin if you happen to have noisy guests on the same floor.

nothing is too far away!

The location of this hotel is phenomenal and it's most redeeming quality. The hotel is situated near three different metro stops, with access to 3 different lines (4, 6, and RER B), and plenty of buses and trams. From this location it's quite simple to get to all of the major tourist attractions, as well as to the airport (CDG). I would suggest getting the unlimited metro pass because being this close to the metro means that you'll definitely use it! Aside from the fabulous location, the hotel was mediocre. The buffet breakfasts was incredibly overpriced for what was offered-17 euro for unlimited croissants, bread, yogurt, small selection of cheese, terrible scrambled eggs, and a few meats. It's much better to take the 2 minute walk to the various cafes and have a coffee, croissant, and fresh squeezed juice for around 7 euro. The room was small, temperature was unregulated, but not that big of a deal because in Paris, how much time are you spending in your hotel room?!

Lovely hotel but far too noisy!

Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: Everything except the noise!
Cons: Double-glazing and thicker walls.
Location: The location was good with a nice deli, a small supermarket and a bakery on the same road.
Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing as we got very little sleep due to the noise levels in this hotel. We were woken up throughout the night by doors banging and people shouting. The walls in the hotel must be very thin as my husband is a very heavy sleeper and even he was disturbed all night. My mother who was in the next room said she could hear my husband snoring from her room and I was woken up every half hour despite my earplugs (which drown out the snoring!). We were in rooms 15 and 16 which face the road and are located on the 1st floor. The noise from the street was also unbearable with delivery vans unloading throughout the night! I looked out the window at 2.00 am and saw a big lorry collecting what looked like dirty laundry. A man was dragging huge metal racks in and out the back of the lorry for about 15 minutes. Each time he went into a building (ours or the hotel next door?) we could hear another BANG as a door slammed! Clearly, the windows are not double-glazed! Everything else about this hotel is great and maybe the rooms facing the back on the top floors are quiet but I wouldn't risk it. After 2 nights in this hotel we were absolutely exhausted!
