Good location and very friendly staffPosted Jun 5, 2014
This is a small hotel with only about 12 rooms in total. The room was in good condition with basic facilities. The best part of the stay was the friendly staff. All very helpful and tried their best to make it a nice stay for the hotel guests. The location is great, very close to the metro station. Many major sightseeing spots are right in the area and lots of restaurants, bars, and nice shops around. I recommend it.

Great location, clean and comfortablePosted Jun 1, 2014
This was the perfect location for a three day family stay. We were a family of three in a room suitable for four, and the large and clean bathroom facilities were a very pleasant surprise vs the usual Paris standards. Ask for room #100 if that is your requirement: it's one floor up so the small elevator becomes academic, and has two large windows overlooking a very quiet street. We had chosen a hotel with AC as one must often close one's windows due to traffic noise, etc., although Paris doesn't usually get hot enough to warrant AC, however we slept very well with our windows open on this quiet little street. One very minor drawback vs the street is that taxi drivers don't find it, so you have to provide specific directions. We found the hotel staff to be polite, friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi is not great, but we expected that in a dense city like Paris. At 12 Euros, the all-you-can-eat breakfast is a decent price compared to the local cafés where for example you pay 2 Euros extra if you ask for jam with your croissant.

Great location close to Louvre and Les TuileriesPosted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Everything , the beds, the location, the shower, the coffee machine in our room.
Cons: Space to eat breakfast, if everyone arrived at once, could be tricky.
Location: The hotel is within walking distance of the Louvre, Tuileries, musee d'Orsay, Orangerie, and a short tube hop from the Eiffel Tower. Metro close by.
We were a family / friend group of 7, three generations, and found our rooms comfortable - family, double and single. There was plenty of space in the larger rooms, though the single was much smaller, especially the shower room. The beds were by far the most comfy hotel beds I have slept in for a while. We were over to support two of us in the Paris Marathon, and the hotel was ideally situated for this and for all the sight seeing we did before and after. A convenient street of mixed shops was a few yards away which allowed us to while away odd minutes. A great place to stay, would happily return.

Great location in the Opera areaPosted Jan 31, 2014
Pros: Cute boutique hotel, small bedroom and bathroom but I expected that. Good price for Paris for such a good location.
Cons: More tourist information available from the reception. Didn't even know breakfast was available there the first day we went to a café.
Location: Louvre and Tulleries a short walk
Staff very friendly but most during our stay had limited English therefore not able to help much with knowledge or directions around Paris. Perfect location, easy with to Arc de Triumph, about 20 minute walk to Eiffel Tower or you can take the Metro. Loved being near the Tulleries, perfect for early morning run and romantic walks at night. Metro 5 minute walk. Take a cruise down the Seine, leaves from in front of the Eiffel Tower. Definitely have dinner at Restaurant 58 at the Tower, book well in advance. Don't miss Montmarte, the restaurants there are excellent and cheaper than around the hotel

Lion d’Or LouvrePosted Dec 3, 2013
Pros: The location.
Location: Within comfortable walking distance to the Louvre.
Great location, within short walking distance to the Metro stations. Also close to the Louvre. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Only bad points were the exceptionally tiny lift (max capacity 3 people, but realistically takes 2), and the tight bathroom we had. Other than that a great place to stay for a short vacation.

I was here for 6 days,I clicked on dozens of hotels in different parts of Paris,Im glad I picked this one,the location couldnt have been better, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and they all spoke english.the room was spotless, the mattress and bedding were all very nice, and, theres a fabulous restaurant right out the front door-this is a great place in a great city. The only negative-I wish the shower was bigger in the room I had. When I come back to Paris-I will stay here again.

Decent hotel butPosted May 30, 2013
Pros: Off the main street and good location.
Cons: The bathrooms need improvement, but I know you can't make them any bigger.
Location: Within walking distance to The Louvre and a good number of restaurants. A nice food market just 200 feet down the street from hotel front door.
Decent hotel but bathroom way to small. Needed to leave door open to get to toilet and shower not up to par. However was good location to get to most everything we wanted to see in a three day visit. Staff very nice and helpful. Would stay there again but only for a short visit. Could handle the bathroom issues only for a few days.

Stylish small hotel near the Seine and l'OperaPosted Apr 22, 2013
Pros: The Location, The comfort andf the decor
Cons: The failing wi fi
Location: Walking distance from the Opera, the river and the Louvre
This is a small very well set out hotel in a quiet sidestreet just north of Rue St Honore. The rooms are stylish and the bed very comfortable. The location is great and the staff are friendly The only thing that spoiled the stay was the complete failure of the wifi to connect successfully to the internet. When I mentioned this to the reception clerk she looked at me sympathetically and said " yes it's really bad isn't it?" Since "Free wifi" is part of the advertised package they really need to fix it!
