Good hotel in a good location!

Posted Sep 22, 2014
My husband and I have just returned from a 2 night stay at The Lodge du Centre Hotel in Paris. We flew into Charles de Gaulle airport and then got the train to Gare du Nord station which took about 25 minutes. The hotel is then a 15- 20 minute walk from Gare du Nord station and it was very straight forward to find using Google maps. The centre of Paris is a 20- 25 minute walk from the hotel with plenty to see on the way! While we were there we went to a concert at Stade de France which is one stop on from Gare du Nord station and took about 5 minutes. The hotel was lovely, it had everything we needed but we did find our room noisy in the morning as it was around the stair case. The hotel is in a nice little area of Paris with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The nearest metro station was Grand Boulevard which was a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

Dear Guests, Thank you for sharing your experience during your last visit. It is a pleasure to read that you had a pleasant stay at the Hotel Lodge du Centre. I am very sorry that your were disturbed by the noise from the stair case. Ususaly rooms facing the courtside are quieter. This time we may be welcomed too noiser guests. We hope to have the pleasure to welcoming you again. Best regards, Emmanuel

Fantastic hotel in a great location.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable with good amenities, great location.
Cons: I cannot think of anything which could be improved. For me it was perfect!
Location: 2 mins walk from the nearest metro and within easy walk of Louvre/Tuilleries big shops. Lively area with lots of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants.
I am so glad I found this hotel and will definitely stay again. This is the best 3 star Hotel I have yet found in Paris. It offers excellent value for money compared to other 3 stars I've stayed in which I found to be rather basic, shabby and run down and not really comparable to a 3 star in the UK. By contrast this hotel was very pleasant, comfortable and nicely renovated - they've gone to the trouble to refurbish the rooms and bathrooms properly, to a high standard with good quality fixtures and fittings and have really considered the needs of their guests. The room had AC, kettle, complementary tea and coffee a mini bar and satelite TV which included BBC World and CNN (these are not things I have found in other 3 star hotels I stayed in). Despite it being a single room it had a nice sized bathroom with a bathtub as well as a shower. This all made the room a pleasant place to relax rather than just somewhere to crash out and spend the minimum of time in. The location was ideal too within 10 - 15 mins walk of the big shops and 15 - 20 mins walk from the Louvre/Tuilleries and a 2 minute walk from the nearest Metro. There area was buzzing with activity and had a variety of shops, bars/cafes and places to eat right on the doorstep. I came back late at night (after midnight in most cases) and felt completely safe here. The staff were all lovely too. Very friendly and helpful. They were more than happy to offer advice when I needed it.

Central position for all the sights.

Pros: The clean room
Location: A 15 minute walk from the Gard du Nord. Sacre Coeur and all major attractions are within walking distance and the metro about 5 minutes away.
A friend and I spent two nights at the Lodge du Centre at the weekend. Our room had two very comfortable beds with immaculate bedding. The bathroom had a wonderful shower. The reception staff were so helpful.

Central yet located in a nice quiet side street

Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: The room has a mini bar that can be used as a fridge & even had a balcony which was nice to sit out on during the whole day watching the world go by.
Cons: Struggling here - perhaps a slightly bigger TV would have been nice but the small flat screen was certainly adequate
Location: Plenty of bars, eateries, shops and transport links all just a few minutes walk from the hotel.
This was our 4th stay and it is in a really nice part of Paris. Staff are friendly & helpful. The Metro, nice bars and the big stores are all within easy reach. There are loads of places to visit and we will be going back there again next year. Highly recommended & good value for money.

Useful small hotel in Paris theatre district

Posted Jun 13, 2014
Cons: Room hot and sticky.
Location: Close to Folie Bergeres, 3 minutes from Grands Boulevards metro station, close to Vendome.
A small hotel hidden away from the main road, clean, but perhaps a little claustrophobic room. In June, the room needed aircon, and privacy blinds to open the windows. Beware of being invited to breakfast - it isn't included in the Expedia room rate apparently and no-one tells you at check in, you're invited to it and not warned. Also the mini-bar is unpriced....and the bottle of water I desparately needed in the night comes feels like extortion, especially since most places give you a water for free. Apart from being screwed over at check out, OK.

Dear Steve, Thank you for writting about your stay at the Hotel Lodge du Centre. You stayed in a standard room. For more comfort we advise you to book a superior room which have all equipped with air-conditionning. I am very sorry that our reception staff did not inform you about the breakfast not included. We will check again the arrival procedure. Best regards Emmanuel - manager
