Loved the balcony and the guy playing the accordioPosted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Safe and great location
Cons: Coffee and glasses in the room Suggested walking trails. one for shops another for restaurants
Location: Just walk the streets nearby Go down to the Luxemburg gardens and turn right and do a big loop great shops and restaurants
Best area for boutique shopping and restaurants. Pauls' patisserie oh yeh. Easy to get to all the things we wanted to see. Nice safe area some areas we went to in Paris were a bit dodgy.

Good locationPosted Oct 24, 2014
Pros: Location, staff.
The Madison is conveniently located near shopping. Luxembourg gardens are nearby. Only caveat is that room with a courtyard veiw is a veiw of an air shaft and ventilation equipment. Fine if you are not spending much time in the room.

Great location in ParisPosted Oct 11, 2014
Pros: Our room, the hotel's location, the reception area, bar area, and lounge area.. There were plenty of outlets for charging our phones and ipads.
Cons: We had a little of that snotty "Paris" attitude from an employee that is expected but we are always surprised when we encounter it.
Location: St. Germain is our favorite neighborhood. The hotel is directly across from the St. Germain des Pres Abbaye which is central to sightseeing.
We like staying in the St. Germain area and this hotel is perfectly situated. It is surrounded by restaurants and shops and historical monuments.

Central Paris hotelPosted Oct 1, 2014
One of my favourite areas in Paris so it's a great place to stay - staff really helpful, hotel clean - ideal really but not cheap

Fabulous location in St. GermainePosted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: The position.
Cons: Size, outlook and decor of the rooms.
Location: Right on Boulevard St. Germaine. Great shops, hop on hop off bus at the door. Close to Notre Dame, the Seine, art galleries and restaurants.
The room we booked and paid for was with "Cathedral Views", instead we were put at the back of the building overlooking the air conditioning unit. I particularly booked a bigger room hoping there would be a couch or somewhere other than the bed to sit on but besides the bed there was only a small desk and chair. We were staying 4 nights and were expecting more than provided, at least a couch to sit on. There was another bed, we discovered, but that was folded up into the wall space. We did not request extra bedding. The photographs showed light and airy rooms, however the room we were allocated was small, dark, dingy and quite depressing decorated in dark browns and greys making the room appear even smaller. The staff were pleasant enough.

Fabulous stay!Posted Sep 22, 2014
Cons: We were happy with all aspects of The Madison.
Location: As above.
We had a wonderful five night stay at this hotel during September. We stayed in a deluxe twin room with a fabulous view of the Boulevard St Germain and the lovely church across the road. The room was very spacious, with ample wardrobe space and facilities and was spotlessly clean - the bathroom was fantastic too! All hotel staff were professional, helpful and courteous and the location was superb, within walking distance of some of the most famous sites of Paris such as Notre Dame, The Seine and The Louvre.

Great location, very clean.Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, size (not too big). Helpful staff, happy to speak English if required.
Cons: No down service (not sure if offered anyway) Tea/coffee/milk not replenished, more on request. (Should have more than one of each available).
Location: Centre of St Germain. Loads of shops/restaurants. Metro virtually outside. River nearby, Notre Dame, Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Tuileries.
Excellent short stay. Comfortable room, view onto aircon unit unfortunately but for price wouldn't expect more.
