A Gem on St Germain des PresPosted Dec 6, 2013
Pros: The staff is wonderful in this boutique hotel. The breakfast in the morning is lovely. Location, location! Pretty view of Eiffel Tower.
Cons: Single rooms are small in Paris but that is typical.
Location: This area is central to everything -Left Bank, Latin Quater, St Michel, Musee D'Orsay, Nortre Dame, the Louvre are all walking distance. Great bistros
The Madison Hotel is a gem of a hotel located on Saint Germain des Pres. Location, location, location. The staff is welcoming, charming, and most helpful. It has recently been renovated and the rooms, breakfast room and intimate seating area are perfect for a boutique hotel. The single room is small though still charming. The breakfast is wonderful. I love this hotel and highly recommend it. This is my "go to" hotel in Paris.

Helpful staff!Posted Nov 30, 2013
Spent 3 nights of our honeymoon and the staff was great recommending restaurants and helping us with reservations and very friendly! The only complaint was shower water got all over the floor but luckily I know how to use a towel... Rooms are small by American standards but we had enough room for our luggage. Great location near a lot of shops and restaurants and a 15 min walk to the louvre, notre dame and siene.

Great location, great hotelPosted Nov 16, 2013
Pros: Location, cleanliness, room quietness, friendly and efficient staff
Cons: More than 1 tea bag for the in-room facilities.
Location: Great shopping for designer labels in Saint Germain. Great eating at Odeon and Saint Michel. Very close to Bon Marche for department store shopping
As we used to live in Saint Germain we already knew the area and a couple of the hotels in the area. We had never stayed at the Madison before but chose them based on very positive feedback. We were not disappointed. The location is fantastic and the staff friendly and efficient. 1 minute to the metro (Saint Germain des Pres), 5 minutes from the eateries in Odeon, 15 minutes from the eateries in Saint Michel and 20 minutes from Notre Dame and I'lle Saint Louis, all walking times, what could be better. The hotel was spotlessly clean, quiet and appeared well run. The room was a good size with a King bed and a lovely soft doona. All the normal facilities were there, safe, tea and coffee facilities, shampoo, gels, TV, reading lights, etc. the only slight niggle was that only one (1) tea bag was supplied each day! A quick call resolves the problem, but still a little annoying. The only other item worth mentioning is although the stated return time for laundry is the same day (if put in before 11:00am), this did not occur, it arrived back the second day. This is actually very good as we have stayed at many Paris hotels and laundry is a "hit and miss" affair, but just allow an extra day at the Madison and you wont get stressed. In all the stay was great and we would thoroughly recommend the hotel. It is locked in for our future visits

Super staff, great location, really nice place!Posted Oct 25, 2013
Smaller boutique like Hotel. Rooms, facility and location were great. What really stood out was the staff. My wife and I needed to get to the train station and we were unaware of how difficult it is to flag a taxi. The staff literally ran outside and down the street to do whatever they could to get us on our way. They went way above the call of duty. Who says the French are rude to Americans? We were treated incredibly well throughout Paris and across the French countryside and the staff at Hotel Madison was at the top of the list. We highly recommend!

Great hotel for a visit to ParisPosted Aug 26, 2013
Location: great location right beside the metro stop St Germain de Pres. plenty to see and do nearby!!
Fantastic hotel with very friendly staff. Great location to explore Paris as metro stop just outside hotel. Local area has plenty of cafes and restaurants. Breakfast very expensive 25euro per person so just stroll outside small cafe just across the avenue or a starbucks is a short stroll down the street. Cafes Les Deux Margots and Le Fleur great for people watching but beware expensive!! Notre Dame area only 2 stops away on the Metro, lovely little streets around Place St Michel crammed with cafes and restaurants.
