Hotel Gat Folies: Great service, but noisyPosted Nov 15, 2011 on Hotels.com
I spent three days at Hotel Gat Folies, and the hotel exactly matched my expectations. This being Paris, I understand small hotel rooms, and Hotel Gat Folies was nothing unexpected. A comfortable queen sized bed was somehow shoehorned into a small room, but aside from that there were absolutely no frills. Don't expect room to spread out, but for basic comfort and value, this is a fine hotel. That said, the room was clean and tidy. I was especially impressed with the attentiveness and service of every employee I encountered. They were incredibly helpful. The downside: it's a noisy neighborhood, and the walls are thin. Also, my room had a green neon light that the blackout curtain didn't completely filter out. Very annoying. Upside: one of the better values near city center. If you just need a place to stow your gear while you head out sightseeing, it's a fine choice.

so soPosted Nov 9, 2011 on Hotels.com
This hotel is close to 2 metro stations and if you get the breakfast included in your hotel -it's def worth it! The service was average- not very helpful running out of patience, one girl couldn't speak english so well. The room was ok, budget room which isn't bad, one of the lights wasn't working ... otherwse average overall

Hotel Gat Folies - Excellent value for moneyPosted Aug 7, 2011 on Hotels.com
This hotel was excellent value for money, with clean modern rooms, great view from the balcony (although you cannot actually sit out as no furniture), friendly staff and great location with the metro a 5 minute walk away but also possible to walk to many of the main sights. Would definitely stay again.

20 mins frm LouvrePosted Jul 17, 2011 on Hotels.com
Hotel is clean, contemporary and centrally located near Hard Rock Cafe and Musee Grevin. Though the standard double room is really small and barely enough space to walk. Its a good choice only, if you are spending most of your time outside exploring than inside. Good budget hotel for 2/3 night stay with free wi-fi and also an imac downstairs to browse upon.

Okay Hotel,Posted Jun 29, 2011 on Hotels.com
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, top notch. The location is on a side street a long walk from the attractions but it is walkable. The closest attraction is the Hard Rock (If you call it an attraction) where you can get the open bus tour. The Hard Rock is a 10 minute walk. The neighborhood is so so, but there are many places to catch a small outside cafe. The rooms are small to average for a European hotel, but I have stayed in larger. I would stay there again in a pinch, but would look for something closer to the action and a bit larger rooms and more standard air conditioning or cooling system. (hard Rock 10 minute walk: Louve can be walked in 20 - 25 minutes)

Small Room but overall good bang for your buckPosted Jun 12, 2011 on Hotels.com
We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of June 2011. The room we got was modern, a bit small, but included everything we needed: clean sheets and a clean bathroom. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful and the hotel is very well located. There's a metro station a few blocks away. The only down side is that there is no air conditioning so I can imagine that the rooms get very warm during the peak of summer. Overall good experience at Gat Folies.

Dont Go in the summer timePosted Jul 22, 2010
We are in Paris maybe six times a year and always look for the new and interesting in terms of hotels. We were attracted to this since it is a Spanish chain, and brand new. The design lived up to expectations, All and all if you like ultra modern and a bit of edginess this is a good value, in terms of room size and price for Paris. On the down side, one small thing they can fix is to put frigs in the rooms, and one big thing they cannot fix is the place is not air-conditioned. The desk was nice neough to give us a fan, but going in the dead of summer is a killer. We may try it again in the fall, but never in the summer.
