“Great Paris hotel in the shopping district”

Great little boutique hotel near the Champes de Esylees and the Arch de Truimphe. Very clean, with everything you need. Some rooms even have a view of the Eiffel Tower. Would definitiely go back and recommend it to my friends and family.

“Charming Couple's Retreat”

We were in Paris for our honeymoon and found the Hotel Alexander virtually perfect for our needs. Quiet, yet centrally located to everything we needed in the city; comfortable yet not too spacious or overwhelming. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Our room was smaller but nicely appointed and very well kept. The reason we didn't give this hotel a top score: the towel-warmer in the bathroom was quite awkwardly located, and the in-house buffet breakfast was rather expensive (25 euros each).

“Great place and location.”

Very nice--typical Paris hotel room-maybe a little bigger. Enjoyed our stay very much. Walking distance to alot of places. A couple of blocks to metro station.

“Lovely French Hotel Away from Tourist Traps”

The hotel is lovely. Standard rooms have a very hard mattress; on check-in upgraded to room that has newer & a bit softer, still very firm though, plus large beautiful bathroom with tub. The upgrade had free Internet but not wifi. Excellent service. I've stayed in an apt in the area for years so know & love the area; I put a relative up at the hotel this time and was very happy with the upgrade.

The staff were friendly, spoke English, and willing to give directions. The hotel was very meticulously maintained. Ideally located to the main sites in Paris. Our main complaint was that the bed mattress was very hard and we had difficulty sleeping on it.

“Hotel Melia Alexander”

The only bad thing about the hotel was that even though I didn't put the card on the bed (indicating it was fine to leave the bedding alone) they wtill didn't wash/replace the bedding. It's fine since it was just me, but it made me wonder if they changed the sheets between guests (ewww)...

Hotel staff was extremely helpful. The only negative comment I have for this hotel is that the beds are VERY unconfortable. If you have back issues, this is not the hotel for you!

“Nice, well-located hotel”

Good hotel in great location in the 16th. Near metro. Room was fine, nothing spectacular. Dim, with poor lighting (asked for 2nd bedside lamp, which was provided on 3rd request).
