Breakfast Room - Situated in the lower ground floor, this dining room is a converted cellar, decorated in French country house style with soft blue chairs and elegantly dressed tables. A full buffet breakfast is served from 7 AM to 10.30 AM Monday to Friday and until 11 AM at the weekend. Tea Room - Afternoon teas are served in the English-style tea room.

The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but room service of French cuisine is available between 11 AM and 10.30 PM. The hotel is also ideally located in one of the city's finest dining areas. “Very nice but it could be better”

We liked the hotel very much but we found that, like in many hotels in Europe, there are things that could be a lot better. Maintenance in the bathroon was poor and take a shower became a whole new experience dealing with the shower trying not to get water all around the bathroom. Air conditioning is general and we had no chance to regulate temperature inside the room. So to ccol down a little and get fresh air we had to open the window. The problem is that when you open the window becomes very noisy. Everything else was in line with our expectations. Breakfast is quite complete and service very good. This is a place I would recommend with no doubt and is very well located.

This area was perfect for us with excelent transportation around.

“Pleasasnt and well-located”

Thoroughly delightful, well-appointed, well-functioning, with helpful staff. Reliable tips on local restaurants. Breakfast overpriced, breakfast room over-crowded, and food running out with staff overworked. And network a tad flakey in connecting but good once connected. Would definitely go back and much more gracious and comfortable than other places in the price range.

“Excellent hotel, location and service”

Beautiful hotel, excellent location. We could see the top of Notre Dame from our window. Everyone at the hotel spoke very good english and were extremely helpful to us. We would stay here again for certain. Clearly a 4 star hotel.

5 minute walk to Notre Dame and less than 10 minutes to the St. Louis area. Very good area for strolling around, good restaurants, too.

“Trip to Paris”

This is a small but luxurious hotel within walking distance of Notre Dame Cathedral. The staff were extremely helpful and understanding when we tried our school days french. However their English was excellent. The staff gave us good advice on where to visit.

Area recommendations

Booked a 'Tour' through Viator which included dinner on the Eiffel Tower, a river boat cruise and the 11:00 pm show at Moulin Rouge. This was extremely well organized and I recommend it to anyone.

“Great for a Latin Quarter stay.”

Loved the hotel and the staff was very helpful and attentive. The room was small but had everything needed with good quality fixtures and linens. Only issue was that the light switch covers fell off every time you switched a light!! We stayed only one night and could not afford a long stay but would recommend highly for a latin quarter visit for a few days.

Area recommendations

Love the latin quarter and would choose it over the Eiffel tower area as there are more interesting cafes and shops.

“great choice - can't wait to go back”

The staff was excellent. They were professional ,cordial and always helpful. The location was one block from the Seine (near Notre Dame cathedral) yet quiet and relaxing. Property was attractive and obviously well cared for. When we go back to Paris we would love to stay there again.

“Cant wait to go back, spectacular butique hotel”

Great hotel, great location, great staff, one of my best experience with Melia Hotels.

If you take this hotel, you will be right in the mittle of the action, the metro is juts two blocks away, the nieghbouhood is fantastic, full of great cafees and great restaurants, you will be almost in front of the Notre Dame Cathedral.

“Bunny abd Renard F-Fabulous Hotel in Paris”

I made a HUGE ERROR in completing the survey before---Melia Colbert was wonderful, yet I incorrectly filled in the incorrect rating and gave it a "1" instead of the "5" it deserves!!! Please read my narrative about how convenient and special it was to stay at Melia Colbert and be assured i would recommend this boutique to everyone!

5th Arrondissement near the Notre Dame Batobus stop for easy access to the 8 prime Paris locations along the Seine..clean safe quiet neighborhood to walk and explore

Getting around

Best bargain hint: BATOBUS- We bought a 5 day pass... very inexpensive...and were able to hop on and off to walk and explore museums and neighborhoods at any of the 8 stops ( Notre Dame, Jardin ses Plantes, Hotel de Ville, Louvre, Champs Elysees, Eiffel Tower, St Germain, Musee D'Orsay) on the relaxing boatride on the Seine...Batobus runs @every 15 minutes. We never took a Taxi, Metro or Bus during our entire trip! Worst Experience: PARISVISIONS MINIBUS TOURS- Our huge disappointment was with our reserved sightseeing trips with Parisvision Minibus Tours to Versailles (never go on Sunday) and the Paris Night Illumination Tour which were both extremely EXPENSIVE and lasted much shorter time than advertised in their brochures. We were picked up late, then proceeded to pick upothers at another hotel ,then wait in a parking lot for the 3rd passenger to return from a dinner cruise--- then zip around and never stop to see landmarks lit (which was the purpose of the Ilumination tour) and then drop off the passengers all within 45 minutes of what was advertised as a 2 hour excursion!

“Will definately return to the Melia Colber”

Charming and clean boutique hotel with helpful , friendly ,and excellent staff. In central location and within walking distance to all sights. My husband and I had a wonderfully romantic Parisian experience for out 40th anniversary, and we are definately planning on returning. Would highly recommend this hotel. Satisfied Pittsburgh travelers!

What to pack

Pack light, any comfortable shoes that are not white tennis shoes. We went in October, so bring some layers.
