Great location for the moneyPosted Aug 15, 2009 on Hotels.com
We went for the last day of the Tour de France and wanted to stay as close to the Champs Elysees as we could. The Mercure was a perfect fit for us. Yes the room was small, but very charming. Neat fabric wall coverings, a small coffee maker, and fridge were all nice perks. The bathroom had not been updated and was quite old but if you have done a lot of backpacking and international traveling it will be nothing for you. Really, how much time do you spend in the bathroom? Very nice center courtyard with a small table that was nice to eat at. There is a big supermarket 1/2 a block from the hotel and a nice way to save some money. The only thing that wasn't great was the air conditioner didn't work very well (maybe not at all) instead of calling someone we decided to sleep with the window open. Overall, a nice place to stay.

Nice Hotel, small roomsPosted Jan 30, 2008
This was our first visit to Paris. This hotel had a friendly staff and they were helpful. Rooms were clean and modern furnishings. Bathroom was recently renovated w/ all tile/marble floors/walls, but no shower curtain or door. Water went all over the bathroom area. Rooms were extremely small. Not much room to walk between the bed and the walls. Location was very good. Walking distance to botrh the Arc de Triumphe, Champs Elysse, Trocadero, and Eiffel Tower.

disappointedPosted Oct 7, 2007
room not like on the pictures, very small (felt like staying in elevator), room located on forth floor - key to the room did not work most of the time, had to go back down four floors to the lobby to get new key and claim back the stairs, over and over again.

Good HotelPosted Jun 21, 2007 on Hotels.com
My husband and I had a short stay in Paris in between business in Monaco. The hotel is small. However, our room was very nice...bigger than I actually thought it would be. However, the lobby needs a make over! The entire staff was friendly and extrememly helpful. Although it is close to Champs de Elysee and Arch de Triomphe it is not as close to other main attractions. The City Bus was very useful for us. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the Effiel Tower the next closet attraction. The hotel is accurately priced and comfortable.

Friendly Service - Small RoomsPosted Apr 11, 2007
Service was fantastic and the hotel staff was friendly. However, the rooms are the size of sardine cans. The only way to turn around in your room is to back out, turn around and go back in.

Don't stay here!Posted Apr 10, 2007 on Hotels.com
There are other hotels in the same area at a similar price, and whoever stays at this hotel will be extremely disappointed. The room I was given was smelly and dark. AFter escorting us to our room, the bell boy was walking around the room, feeling the carpet, waving his hand in front of his nose. The hotel lounge was very dirty, and the staff-ugh! The front desk employees were incredibly rude to me, and while my son and I were sitting in the lobby, we heard the receptionist trying to give directions over the phone, and after hanging up, he made these irritated noises and sounded like he was cursing using "le francais". I guess that's where the term comes from, "Excuse my French."

great location for this hotel. everyone is very helpful. we didn't get the room we booked though and they never would change our room to the right one because they were so full. my husband and i are newly married (two weeks) and were using this trip for business and a honeymoon. they didn't even have a room with one bed for us. so we had two. not happy.
