Convenient location near Gare Montparnasse. Value.

Pros: Excellent value. Spacious well-lit room. Mini fridge in the room. Breakfast buffet for 17 EU. Location on a quiet street.
Cons: Rooms are almost cinder-block and not decorated.
Location: Lots of cafes, restaurants and bars. Walk to Luxembourg Gardens. Montparnasse cemetery is very quiet, large and pleasant to walk through.
I got a very good deal on a room here and was a bit worried about what I would be getting. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely stay at this hotel again. It was one of the largest hotel rooms I have stayed in in Paris, some at twice and three times the price. The location is great, very convenient to Montparnasse station and the Air France airport bus. Quiet side street. Breakfast was a good value for 17 EU. The rooms are simple, don't expect any decoration. On the other hand they are well set up with adequate shelving, closet space, etc. There was even a luggage rack, a table and two chairs. Best of all was the mini-fridge and it wasn't full of liquor or other stuff they are trying to sell you! There were even extra reading lights next to the bed. Very thoughtful, customer-oriented. Front desk very pleasant and helpful and all spoke English.

Bit far away but a great hotel.

Montparnasse may not be close to the main attractions, but the train connections are brilliant, there are great restaurants, and the room and breakfast were brilliant. Also, we turned up at 11 for a noon check-in and got our room straight away. Very easy experience.

Wonderful hotel in a vibrant part of Paris
Posted Jan 27, 2012
Location: really close to metro, lots of restaurants and bars nearby....and there was a flea market near the Edgar-Quinet train station Saturday am
Everyone was extremely kind, helpful, and friendly. The room exceeded my expectations in that it was a good size for a European hotel room. There was space for a sitting area with a table and two chairs...I didn't feel crowded at all. The bathroom was "small" but there was more than enough space to do what needed to be done. Overall, I am so happy I stayed here, in this part of town, and it is highly likely that if I ever get the pleasure of returning to Paris, I will stay at this hotel.

Except for the slightly high rates, everything was OK. I could stay once again.

Pros: The location
Cons: everything other than the location
Came to the hotel while on vacation in Paris with my Mom. When on vacation, it's nice to get greeted with a smile and all those pleasantries. Upon checking into the hotel, we received none of that. The front desk staff weren't rude but they weren't very pleasant either. The hotel claims to be 4 stars, but I would categorize it as a 2, maybe 3 star (on a good day) hotel. It's comparable to a Best Western, or Holiday Inn Express hotel. Only 1 elevator was working during our stay, there was shotty paint throughout the hotel, the paint in the hotel room was chipped, the soapdish in the bathroom was dirty. Overall, the hotel just had a "cheap" feel to it. The saving grace to the vacation was the location of the hotel. It's on a street with tons of cool restaurants and bars, walking distance to shopping, and close to the metro. I would love to visit Paris again. But the next time I go, I definitely will not be staying at this hotel.

Poor customer service

Soon after our arrival the ssink became clogged. Although notified immediately the hotel did not attend to this problem until 16 hours later forcing us to use the sink in the public area to brush our teeth ect.
