Perfect hotel for a weekend away

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Helpfulness and pleasantness of the staff. Cleanliness of rooms along with the numerous types of extras in the bathroom. i.e toiletries, shaving kit.
Location: Near main Metro lines, close links to RER B leading to Charles De Gaulle and Orly Airports. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
I found the staff to be extremely helpful and pleasant. The hotel room was spotless and cleaned to a high standard daily. The facilities in the room were excellent, The Eiffel Tower view made our weekend even more perfect.

Room was very clean and about average for Paris standard as it was not large but serviceable. Not he most central location but the surrounding area was absolutely full of quality cages and bars. We could walk to some tourist sites but taxis were a must for others. Staff were very helpful in booking tours or giving advise and spoke very good English

Good Hotel

Posted May 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
We were initially put in a smoking room, despite requesting non-smoking, but were moved when we pointed this out (the smoking rooms do smell so make sure you request non smoking if this will bother you). Room was a little on the small side but very clean and tidy. Helpful staff and good location - right by a Metro stop that can get you to all the major sites.

Mixed feelings about this hotel

Posted Apr 28, 2014
First impressions were good. Small quiet hotel with a charming courtyard and close to the metro station. The room was considered spacious by Parisian standards. Good amenities and clean, spacious bathroom with shower/bathtub. Strong water pressure. Staff are friendly and can speak English. Unfortunately, they had difficulty understanding when we encountered some issues. What marred the stay: when turning in, I discovered the bedsheet had some dried brown stains. The following day, housekeeping made the bed but didn't change the sheet. I tried several times to call the customer satisfaction line but could never get through so I gave up. I called the front desk who delivered a clean sheet but did not offer to make the bed (I suppose this was not in his job scope and housekeeping may have left for the day?). It was late so I just laid it on top of the stained sheet. The following day, the bed was made neatly but the two bedsheets (the clean sheet and the stained one) were still there. I understand the need to conserve water and seldom request for sheets to be changed daily but in my experience, the hotel will provide a card for guests to indicate if the sheets should be changed. At this hotel, the default seems to be not changing the sheets. Makes me wonder how often the sheets are washed. Wifi connection was good and fast but was unavailable on one of the days which was disappointing. Reason was unclear due to the staff's difficulty with English.
Comment from Hotel Management

Dear Itsybitsy, Thank you for taking the time to comment your stay with us. I'm glad to read that you've enjoyed the helpfulness of the Reception team and the hotel, but I would like to apologize for the problem you encountered with our housekeeping team. Without trying to justify what happened, I must say that you went through an unfortunate situation, which is not reflecting the level of service that we usually provide to all our clients. Your bed sheets shouldn’t have been used to make up your bed in the first place: bed linen might arrive clean from our linen supplier but showing some stains but our housekeeping team has to remove them from stock right away. Our head housekeeper has been made aware of this in order to prevent a future occurrence. Rest assured that satisfying our customers is chief among our priorities and we hope that you will give us the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment and regain your confidence in us the next time you are staying in Paris.

Comfortable. Close to the metro. Good shopping.

Pros: Centrally located.
Cons: A chair to sit on other than the bed. English news on the tv.
Location: Central location. Very good shopping centre. Plenty of restaurants to choose from.
The room was comfortable although on the small side. Nowhere to sit other than the bed. Would have liked more than two tea bags and a proper cup not a paper one.

Quiet hotel in the middle of Paris!

A short walk from the metro at Place d'Italie, and surrounded by inexpensive Italian restaurants. Modern rooms, comfortable, well equipped, very quiet, set back in a courtyard.

Great Location

Posted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: add a residents bar
Location: Place D'Italie has three Metro lines passing through it. There are also loads of restaurants and bars within walking distance.
Stayed for a weekend at beginning of March with friends. Location is fantastic, 30s walk from Place D'Italie which has three metro lines. Direct from Gare du Nord and direct to Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. Hotel was very clean, beds were comfy and the staff were extremely helpful - recommendations for restaurants and bars were spot on. From floor 5 and up you can see the Eiffel tower, with the best view obviously being from the top floor 8.
