Clean hotel, good location, helpful staffPosted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: Great location, good price and clean hotel. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Room is small - it takes time to adjust to. At night you can hear the noises from people on the streets and restaurants opposite the hotel.
Location: We used the Metro alot to get to the Eiffel, Lourves, Notre Dame - it may be cost effective to buy batch of single metro tickets or a day pass.
We stayed at the Mecure Opera Garnier hotel and found it impeccably clean, which was great. The location is good too, as its next to a major metro stop called St Lazure. The hotel is within 20 minutes walking distance from the Arc De Triumph and Champ Elysees. There are lots of places to eat near the hotel including Starbucks, McDonalds. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. They were happy to advise us on how to get around Paris.

Good, clean hotel, excellent locationPosted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, excellent location, very clean.
Location: Close to metro, train and bus routes inc bus to airport. Near cafés etc and within walking distance for main monuments. Gallery Lafeyette 5 mins.
We travelled into Paris from CDG airport by Roissybus to find the hotel was only a 5 minute walk form the terminus. On a quiet(ish) street opposite a couple of cafés the hotel appears small, we were greeted warmly by all staff and the receptionist was really polite and helpful. Our room was 103 with two good sized French doors opening on to a Juliet balcony overlooking the street. The room was small with a double bed, wardrobe and desk/table, very clean and functional bathroom. Let's be clear, the rooms a perfect for us as we were out exploring Paris most of the time so to shower, change and sleep in it was great.

Nice location!Posted Jul 17, 2014
Location: Lots of shopping, restaurants, monuments
Very close walk to Printemps and Galeries Lafeyette (shopping area). There is a lot of different forms of transportation around the hotel- train station is less than 5 mins away and there is a taxi stand right behind the hotel. Regarding the hotel itself, the rooms are small (remember, you are in the heart of Paris!) Also, being a clean freak, the towels don't seem very clean to me and there was a leak from the room above us on our first night. For breakfast, there are limited selections of hot foods (eggs, mushrooms, bacon and sausage), cold cut meats, breads, juices and coffee. Overall, pretty good hotel. I would recommend it if you are planning to walk around Paris as your main form of transportation.

Nice and AffordablePosted Jun 18, 2014
Stay here was overall a good experience. The hotel is by the Opera House which I loved! There are also metro stations near by. The only complain I have is that sometimes it was already 5pm and housekeeping had not come by yet.

Hotel in good locationPosted Jun 18, 2014
Pros: The location and quietness
Cons: Breakfast, more choice and lower price
Location: Near to shops, sights and metro.
Hotel was ok in a good location for sight seeing and shopping. We had a room that overlooked the court yard garden so was very quiet. Staff were polite but we were mislead about the different types of breakfast and the cost. We have stayed in different hotels in Paris and this one has the most expensive breakfast with little choice, there was fresh apples and pears but the other fruit pineapple, grapefruit was tinned. The hot breakfast was pre cooked and kept warm only two types of cereal, limited selection of cheese and cold meats.

Dear Liz, I’m pleased to read that you enjoyed the location of the hotel in the city center, next to Les Galeries Lafayette, Opera, Place Vendome and les Champs Elysées. Please accept my sincerest apologies for your disappointment on our Breakfast, We are trying to meet every guest expectation, and therefore we are offering 3 types of breakfast: – Our hot buffet breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausages, fruit, French bakery, cheese, cereals, free gluten and organic food…) served in the restaurant. --The room service breakfast served until 12.00 am. --The Express & co breakfast served at the bar (1/2 price of our breakfast buffet) until 12.00 am (continental breakfast basis). Looking forward to welcoming you shortly in Mercure Paris Opéra Garnier Sincerely Marc PILARD Deputy General Manager

VERY SMALLLL ROOM!!!Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: I got free breakfasts for 2 days. and that's the only thing I like about this hotel beside the location.
Cons: Price could be lower for the rooms are tiny!!!
Location: Many shoppings, sightseeings and all the attractions in walking distance!
We got the double room. And it is so small. I mean, I tried to book for 2 twin beds, but on the website, it only say single or double room. Then we got this small room with a 1 bed and it looks like a dorm room for student in college.

Well located hotelPosted May 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed here for 4 nights. We were welcomed warmly and the room was clean and comfortable. My only comments would be that the price of breakfast is steep (we would stop off at a bakery on our way out for the day) and that the bathroom of the standard rooms could do with a facelift. Overall, this was a great place to rest our heads after a day of exploring and was no more than a few metro stops from the sights!

Hotel was presently a bit of a building site.Posted May 15, 2014
Pros: The staff were all very helpful and nice. The breakfast was very good with a good choice and plentiful.
Cons: Perhaps we could have been told at the time of booking that renovations were taking place.
Location: Good area although quite a distance from centre of Paris. Good local restaurants etc. and quite close (about 10 minutes) from Lafyette Galleries.
The hotel was undergoing renovations on our floor and it was quite noisy and dusty. One of the elevators kept breaking down and the other one was therefore very busy. There was also a step down into the room and my husband who is quite infirm at the moment found this a bit stressful. The rooms were extremely small but were clean and comfortable. The hanging space and shelving was quite limited.

Dear Kathleen, Thank you for taking time to share with us your impressions over your stay at Mercure Paris Opéra Garnier. Please accept all may apologies for the disagreement occurred during your stay and mainly the renovation works. Those works will end shortly, within two weeks, and the hotel will find again its quietness. We hope to welcome you once again and demonstrate that is not the way we are usually welcoming our guest.
