Amazing staff make all the difference

Our holiday was amazing and I know that the friendly, helpful staff made all the difference. It's just little things : a nice phone manner, a welcoming smile, a polite few words that build up to make a great holiday an exceptional one.

More than adequate!

Posted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: Excellent bed and bedding. Very clean. Pleasant staff.
Cons: Proper crockery. More knowledgeable staff re restaurants etc
Location: If you are fit enough most of the famous tourist places can be walked to. So no need to spend time underground!
We found most aspects of the hotel really good, very comfortable bed, clean, quiet etc. We did not like having paper take-out cups for our tea in the morning. And despite requests for more, we felt one tea bag and milk each was a bit mean. English guests need more tea! It is a great area for musicians as it is on a street with most of the music shops and luthiers and the Paris Conservatoire is just round the corner. So apart from paper cups, I thought it was good.

Dear guest, Thank you very much for choosing our establishment for your stay in Paris and for letting us a review on Expedia. We are glad to know that your liked your stay with us. Concerning the paper cups and tea bags, we hear that it is not pleasant and we will work on it to find a solution and improve this service. Indeed, we have a great location, close to the 9th arrondissement of Paris which is a very artistic arrondissement with many musicians and music shops. You have also several landmarks of the city next to the hotel like the Opéra Garnier, the Grands Magasins (Le Printemps and Les Galeries Lafayette), Montmartre and more. We are looking forward to welcome you again. Sincerely yours, Mercure Paris Saint Lazare Team

Great Price, Staff, and Location

Posted Mar 14, 2014
Pros: Location, Staff, Cleanliness -
Cons: Have a printer near the computer that your guests used.
I travel frequently for work but only within the continental US. I knew not to expect spacious hotel rooms like in the states. This hotel reminded me of a small boutique hotel that you'd find the states. Very modern, clean lines and art work that showed off the city. The hotel was in a safe and easy walking distance to two different metro stops. Which made getting around the city a breeze. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful and always at the desk with a smile and a warm greeting. My only complaint was the printer near the computers that the guests used had been moved. I was not able to print my boarding pass and car transfer confirmation.
