Awesome Hotel, Loved It!!!!Posted Nov 19, 2014
Pros: Everything :)
Location: Located close to the metro (less than a five minute walk) and lots of restaurants and bars. A short walk to Moulin Rouge or the Opera House!
I very much enjoyed my stay here, and found it to be perfect for me. Starting from check-in, they were very helpful and kind and went out of their way to make my stay more than pleasant. The staff was able to understand my poor French skills and speak in English with me as much as possible :) I believe they went above and beyond and showed excellent hospitality. They were everything a solo, female traveler could ask for. And all at a fabulous rate! The rooms are a bit tiny, but for me it was no problem at all. Clean rooms, great breakfast buffet, attentive housekeeping, the best receptionists, close to the metro, perfect wifi, they had it all!!! I would most certainly recommend and absolutely stay there again on future trips! Thank you to Mercure and their staff for making my holiday an extra special one!!!!

The room and hotel were extremely clean. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and it was great they all spoke English. The location is good with easy Metro access and their are many food choices within walking distance. The room is small but well laid out and has all the amenities one would expect from a hotel in this price range. It was an excellent choice for my wife and me.

Central hotel with easy access to the Metro.Posted Nov 8, 2014
Pros: Black out curtains, good pillows, comfortable bed and soft linen.
Cons: More English tea please (trivial).
Location: Metro station within easy walk. Sacre Coure close by which is lively and full of eateries. It took us about 20 minutes to walk to Galleries layfayette
Great staff, friendly and very helpful. Hotel room well maintained, clean and with an excellent shower. Good breakfast in a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere just what you want first thing in the morning. Would heartily recommend.

Pros: It is clean, everything is new. Good night sleep.
Cons: The lobby is not looking cozy It is cold and even it was cleaned every morning looking dirty.
Location: I do not like the location. It is nothing to do around. If you want to go to Opera you have to take a bus/5 stops/,
The hotel is fat from the all sightseeing in Paris. My room was not small but tiny. If even you have an hour to watch tv, just giving rest for your legs, nothing to watch on TV, everything is in French, not even CNN.

Nice enoughPosted Oct 14, 2014
Clean and reasonable. Our room was by the staircase which was a little noisy. Staff wanted to make up the room a bit early on a Sunday morning for my taste, 9.30. Comfortable bed and good shower. All you need in Paris.

Excellent staff, and fairly convenient locationPosted Oct 6, 2014
I had my fears about staying away from the central arrondisements of Paris - but this Mercure ended up being very well located to metro stations and Gare St. Lazare, as well as being walkable to the Arc when we were feeling ambitious in the mornings. Very comfortable room and helpful staff. Reliable elevator for getting to the 4th floor with luggage or at the end of a long day. As our room overlooked the street and train tracks, we did hear some train noise overnight, but not enough to bother us. My friend was a bit disappointed that the coffee maker in the room was British style (i.e., hot water pot and instant coffee), but that just made for an excuse to find coffee out and about each morning.

Stayed here for eight days, and I can't think of a bad thing to say about this place. It helped that I got a great deal from Expedia at a rate much lower than the one posted at the hotel. Hotel is on a somewhat busy street and next to the Saint Lazare rail line, so rooms facing the street are somewhat noisy if you keep the windows open; however, it was pretty quiet when both sets of windows are closed. The street the hotel is on is no great shakes, but the hotel is near a couple of great neighborhoods with lots of excellent dining and walking options. There's an open air market on weekends on one of the nearby streets. It's only a couple of blocks from the Metro (Rome station), and the #3 line is only a 1/4 mile or so away (Villiers stop). Parc Monceau is worth a stroll through, as are of course the nearby neighborhoods on both sides of the tracks. Many of Paris's best known attractions (Sacre Coeur, Arc de Triomphe) are within a relatively easy (30-45 minute) walking distance. You're not in the thick of things, but you're not too far from that either. Personally, I prefer locations like this, more away from the tourists and closer to a neighborhood feel nearby. Hotel staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful. I'd strongly consider staying here on my next visit.
