Perfect location to enjoy VersaillesPosted May 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Mercure Versailles was the perfect location to enjoy the Versailles Chateau & the city of Versailles. It is located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the Chateau, the town's restaurants, shopping & the train station. Our room was standard double size with a particularly small bath. The shower had no place to hang anything! The breakfast included was extensive & worth the price. The staff were helpful & accommodating. We loved the neighborhood around the Notre Dame square with the open air market & numerous restaurants. We had a wonderful dinner on the square & wished we had more time to stay another night. It was an easy walk to the train station to pick up a car & head to Giverny & Normandy. The A13 is well marked & we were on the road in no time.

Versailles Chatueau (overnight trip)Posted Feb 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
A very functional, clean hotel in close proximity to all of the popular sights in Versailles. A short walk from the train station and cleanliness/service levels were in line with the expected Mercure standard.

excellent hotelPosted Nov 28, 2012 on Hotels.com
Great hotel within walking distance to the Versailles Chateau. The parking lot is small, but if you have a small to medium sized car you will have no problem.

We stayed only one night, but this hotel met our needs for our breif visit to Versailles. It was a short walk to the palace. The hotel was clean, the staff was helpful. Our only feedback was that the very clean double room was very small.
Huge bathroom and great locationPosted Oct 22, 2012 on Hotels.com
This hotel had a large bathroom and large king size beds! There was a short walk to the palace of Versailles and lots of cafes. There is parking available in the underground garage, but it's first come first serve. It was cheaper to park at the hotel than on the street. Be warned, there are only about 5 spots and the parking is super tight!

Great until we couldn't get inPosted Oct 3, 2012 on Hotels.com
I was overall pleased with our stay. We arrived around 12:30 p.m. and were able to check in before their listed 2 p.m. time and they had a parking space available for 12 Euro a night which was great news. The room is small, but was fine for the two of us and there was free wi-fi available. I also had no complaints regarding the breakfast. We ate early one morning and around 9:30 the next morning, but there was plenty of food to choose from both morning. The only issue we had was when we returned around 1AM on Monday morning (due to a broken down train that didn't end in Versailles and waiting an hour to get a taxi) and tried to get in the hotel. The doors were locked and no one was at the reception desk. We rang the bell at least a dozen times and I called the hotel and let the phone ring for about 5 minutes before someone came to the desk. In hindsight it was a minor issue, but it was aggravating end to a long night.
