Friendly, professional and pleasurablePosted Sep 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were very pleasantly surprised by the extremely high quality of the facilities, every member of staff and the dining room. The level of courtesy and professionalism displayed, coupled with the spotless presentation of all amenities, reflects very well on all involved. Thank you.

Perfect 3-star hotelPosted Aug 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
My wife and I stayed here in order to spend a day at the Palace of Versailles. Everything about the stay was great. Friendly, English-speaking reception staff. Tasty breakfast. Secure underground parking. There are some rooms on the ground floor, which are not very desirable. We were initially given one of those, but asked to be moved to another floor which was not a problem at all. I recommend specifying that you don't want to be on the ground floor when you book this hotel.

Pleasant and right for the pricePosted Aug 11, 2013
Pros: Location near Versailles, but not close enough to walk. Quiet except for root-footer truck in the morning. Hopefully that thatI is not a frequent ev
Cons: The air conditioning could really work. Air-flow very low. Even a fan would have done more.
Location: Near Versailles. There were good restaurants close enough to walk to and a wide variety of food available.
Room very small even by European standards. Bathroom was great size. Air conditioning was really non-existent. Not enough room to open a suitcase anywhere in room without tripping over it. Staff was very helpful as we were dealing with a phone issue. They were kind and spoke English well. We parked on street (only two spots on a very narrow street). Hotel wanted 20 Euros to park in the courtyard. Did not eat breakfast there so can't comment on food service.

Great location and very helpful staffPosted Aug 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
We booked this hotel for an overnight stay when visiting Paris. The location to Paris was perfect. It was only a short distance from the choice of 3 train stations and only 20 minutes to the Eiffel Tower. The reception staff where very nice, welcoming and extremely helpful. The room was lovely if not a little small. The end of the bed was only about 12" from the wall. The room was very smart and clean and was perfect for a romantic getaway. The Versailles palace was only a few minutes walk away. The hotel was near lots of nice bars and restaurants. Please note that unless you prebook the hotel car park you will have to find a parking space out in the street and pay the parking meter. But fortunately the street parking is free in August. We were not aware that you had to prebook parking at the hotel so be warned.

Good value for Paris areaPosted Aug 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
We really enjoyed our stay. The outside temps were in the 35C range, so coming back to an air-conditioned room was a godsend. The room was very quiet, which was much appreciated- No street noise whatsoever. The mattresses were a bit firm for our taste, but that is our only complaint. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was good wifi signal on our floor, and the wifi was fast enough. We didn't try the breakfast, as there are some nearby bakeries. Location was good- Close proximity to restaurants, bars, and the palace.

Centrally located in VersaillesPosted Jul 7, 2013
Pros: Centrally located - within walking distance of all the interesting stuff in Versailles.
Location: We stayed overnight in Versailles, which I would highly recommend. In addition to the palace and gardens, we visited the market area.
After staying here I would definitely consider staying at other Mercure hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful, overall excellent, especially when I thought I had lost my passport. Room was comfortable and modern. Breakfast was good.

Tiny tiny roomPosted Jun 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is really lovely, but the room was ridiculously small. It is also not so easy to find from the Chateau de Versailles. For one person, it would be fine, but anymore than that would be too much.

Close to the PalacePosted Jun 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
We really enjoyed the hotel. The staff at the front counter did not speak very good English, and struggled to make change for parking and tax. But the room itself was small but nicely decorated. We were there on a Sunday, and note that only the non-French restaurants were open that evening.

Perfect location to enjoy VersaillesPosted May 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Mercure Versailles was the perfect location to enjoy the Versailles Chateau & the city of Versailles. It is located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the Chateau, the town's restaurants, shopping & the train station. Our room was standard double size with a particularly small bath. The shower had no place to hang anything! The breakfast included was extensive & worth the price. The staff were helpful & accommodating. We loved the neighborhood around the Notre Dame square with the open air market & numerous restaurants. We had a wonderful dinner on the square & wished we had more time to stay another night. It was an easy walk to the train station to pick up a car & head to Giverny & Normandy. The A13 is well marked & we were on the road in no time.
