Close to Gare Du NordPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: How clean it was and the very good breakfast
Location: Only a couple of minutes walk to and from the Eurostar terminal
Excellent and exceptionally clean small hotel. Not located in the prettiest of streets but within 2 minutes walk of some fine places to eat and drink. The room and bathroom were both spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. It says something about a hotel when the only thing I can find fault with was that there was no milk in the room to go with the coffee (instantly supplied from the kitchen upon request though). The only other minor niggle was that the room window developed a fault and could not be opened (these things happen) but the room was air conditioned anyway so it was not really an issue. Would I stay there again............... oh yes without a shadow of a doubt

three days in ParisPosted Jul 6, 2014
its a nice hotel - but everything is small - but safe!! easy to walk from the train station but hard to locate - we had to ask - but locals know it - we do not speak French close to restaurants. the open tour bus station is 5 min walk its not for big families but a nice and central location.

Recommended hotel for a great pricePosted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: Great location for Gare Du Nord station and there's plenty of cafés, restaurants and bars nearby to enjoy.
Cons: It's not the hotel's fault but some may be put off by the hotel being in a street with lots of ethnic people milling about.
Location: It's a stone's throw from Gare Du Nord RER, Metro, SNCF and Eurostar station, so a great place to stay if you are doing lots of the touristy things.
For a 3 star hotel that is almost finished it's refurbishment to a high standard, my wife and I found it to be an excellent hotel and was a memorable part of our first trip to Paris. This was irrespective that we paid less than £160 for 2 nights and at the time of booking we wasn't aware the French Open tennis would be on too which was a bonus! We stayed at Midnight hotel from 4 to 6 June for our 15th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful stay. We had no problems in finding the hotel which has recently updated the sign frontage to Midnight hotel. Our room was on the 5th floor and at the back of the hotel which was very quiet although the room wasn't quite sound-proofed as other guests could be heard entering or leaving their room on the same floor in the evening where the closing of their door would echo. This was probably more to do with guests being inconsiderate as opposed to it being the hotel's fault and was a very minor thing. The bed was lovely and comfortable where we both fell asleep quickly and got a great sleep. The shower too was very refreshing. We didn't try out breakfast as we felt €13 was expensive but it looked impressive! Although we weren't in the room much, when we were we could only find Al Jazeera News as the only English speaking channel on the TV which was a shame. However, the hotel generously has free wifi so we could use our smartphones to catch up with news in the UK and use ooVoo to see and speak to our daughters. All in all, a great hotel!

Weekend in ParisPosted May 21, 2014
Pros: Modern decor & close proximity to Gare du Nord
Cons: Tea/coffee facilities. Soundproofing between rooms. Completion of building works. Hotel information sheet (how to ring reception etc).
Lovely hotel really close to the Gare Du Nord. Newly refurbished but works still going on with drilling etc starting at 9am. Rooms are compact but nice & modern. Windows really block out the outside noise but paper thin walls/doors means that you can hear everything inside! Friendly staff. Free wifi.

Hotel was in a bad neighborhood, no AC, could hear everything through the walls, extremely small rooms, a lot of construction, and hotel was unlocked all night. Each time you leave during the day you have to leave your room key with front desk. Did not feel safe. I would not recommend this hotel.

Handy for the station, nice hotel.Posted Apr 20, 2014
Location: Go to the station and get a metro somewhere nicer.
The hotel was fine - very close to the stations (Nord & Est) and pleasant rooms. The free wifi worked well and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is not in a very nice area, though - lots of dubious looking guys hanging round on the pavements. If you want somewhere handy for transport this is great, but plan on travelling somewhere to eat and to see the sites. The transport links are excellent.

Good value for money being ParisPosted Mar 23, 2014
Pros: Everything was clean and tidy The windows provided strong thermal and acoustic isolation.
Cons: Still on works, so one of the days we were blocked because the lift was being used by the workers and the stairs aren't available yet (security?)
Location: Conveniently located for Eurostar travellers, tourism and commuting around the city, as it's at halfway between Gare du Nord and Gare de L'Est.
The room and bathroom, as usual in Paris, were quite small, but practical and comfortable. The members of the staff weren't specially kind or helpful, but alright. Some issues with the lift and repairs being done since 8:30 - 9 am, quite noisy. If you are on holidays this could be a bit annoying. I know they need to finish their refurbishment, but... Breakfast really expensive, there are plenty of economical choices around that area, boulangeries and cafes.

Nice, Newly Renovated Hotel!Posted Feb 22, 2014
Pros: Location. New-ness. Cleanliness.
Cons: Bigger elevator? Better on site food option.
Location: Not the most "charming" location, but it is MOST convenient.
The room (#401) was tiny, but I think it's a standard issue single Parisian hotel room. Everything looks nice, new and clean. The bathroom was perfect and new looking. Shower with perfect water temperature and pressure. The rainfall shower head was a nice touch. The elevator was TINY. It's about the same size as an airplane bathroom, but it got the job done. Great location with a the Paris metro, National Rail Station (Gare du Nord), grocery store, McDonalds and other various local restaurants all within a 5 mins walk radius.

New, clean, well designed, & near the Gare du NordPosted Jan 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
I chose this new hotel because it was near the Gare du Nord. Also because its Hotels.com write-up implied that every room had a bathTUB (not just a shower - I hate showers). In fact, this was not so. However, apart from the bath issue, the hotel was very good. My room was well designed, comfortable and very clean. I would go there again.
