Just OK
Posted Jan 31, 2013
I only stayed in this hotel for a few hours as I arrived late in the evening and left again early the next morning to catch a flight. The staff were helpful; the hotel itself was dreary and tired looking but warm, clean enough and an okay place to spend a night. The room had a private shower which was clean; the toilet was located in a shared bathroom on the same floor which would have become an inconvenience during a longer stay. Exploring the neighbourhood just a little, the immediate environment felt shabby but not unsafe. Due to limited availability at the time of booking I landed up having to take a triple room and the experience did not merit the 138 Euro I paid. At single room rates, this hotel would likely be an acceptable option but it would not be my first choice by any means.

Just to go to sleep is fine

The hotel was ok for the price best of all across the metro station. And plenty of small business around to buy souvenirs.

Excellent location for a great price
Posted Jan 26, 2013
Pros: Location and price
Cons: No elevator
Location: District 18, very convenient to tourist attractions
Montpellier is literally down the hill from Monmarte. Anver metro station is just across the street. Moulin Rouge is one stop away. Area is full of restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, very pleasantly happening neighborhood. Hotel itself is a typical hotel in Paris with bargain price. No elevator, no toilet in the room. But they clean it well everyday, 24hr reception, staff is friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel for any traveler in Paris!

Does the Job
Posted Jan 19, 2013
Pros: Location Service
Cons: Location
Location: Mixed bag. Don't use Anvers station to access the metro. Walk down the street to the next station.
Cheap hotel in Paris that could use some TLC, however it does the job and would be a great place for young couples who want to save some money. Location is a mix bag. It's in the heart of Paris next to the metro, however there are guys at front who will try to sell you stuff off the street, like brand new phones or polo shirts. I actually felt safer at night when they we're not there. If the cops are in the area they will disappear and generally they won't bug you if you say no. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

basic, low quality family room for 5
Posted Jan 6, 2013
Pros: Location was great and it was good for a family of 5
Cons: Very basic and poor quality hotel.
If you have a family of 5, want to stay in one room in a good location at a low cost (for Paris) then consider this place. Just don't expect too much in terms of service or quality. Whilst I wouldn't recommend this to a friend, i have to say it was a good base. A basic little Parisian room over two levels. A toilet upstairs and a basic but well served shower on the ground floor. 1 double and three singles were comfy enough and noise levels were low. free WiFi if you want it and brekkie if you order.

"you get what you pay for" .....
Posted Jan 5, 2012
Great location & surprisingly quiet .......with the windws closed; cheap but the rooms are tiny, the toilet is shared & at one end of the corridor, which isn't too bad but every door in the hotel is loudly squeaky & so is the floor so every time someone goes to the toilet or the bathroom, everyone else hears them. The staff were good, friendly & helpful / watchful, which is very important in that street. The shared shower was tolerable; it's a case of "you get what you pay for" .....good value for students / backpackers.

we enjoyed very much at this little hotel, the entrance seem a little shabby, but the room was clean and the french lady at the reception was very friendly, although she didnt know much English but she was very nice to us...the location is spot on, very easy with metro just right in front of the hotel and Sacré-Cœur is just right behind the hotel... over all, we had a great time in Paris, and we wish u too have a great time there. :-)

Proximity to Monmarte
Posted Jan 30, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel Montpellier is located 10 minutes from the Sacre Coeur and steps from the metro station Anvers, which made it very convenient. The hotel and my room were clean, although a bit worn. My bed was made up daily, as were fresh towels supplied. The hotel lobby is up one flight of stairs and my room was three flights more. No problem for me, but could cause problems for others not as agile. The gentlemen at the hotel desk were friendly and accommodating during my week in Paris. My stay was from 9/8-9/15/2012. This hotel is a good budget choice.

Terrible Location.

Hotel is located in the ghetto of Paris. Continuing up the boulevard will lead you to no less than 30 sex shops.
