This was the perfect family hotel for its type.Posted Aug 20, 2014
We were a family if 4 doing a 4 night break in Paris. We chose Versailles because it is quieter after busy Paris days. This hotel was ideal and we all lived it!

Functional, clean, friendly, okay positionPosted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Breakfast and service.
Cons: Update rooms.
Location: Good 20 min walk from Palace, and even though it was on a roundabout it was reasonably quiet. Not much going on close by.
We stayed here for 4 nights on the way home from South of France. We visited the Palace of Versailles and spent two days in Paris sightseeing. The hotel foyer and restaurant had obviously been updated as from the outside it looked a bit tired, and the room was a bit dated. Hotel rooms are always small especially when you have two teenagers! Good to have two single beds for them (looked like a sofa bed but two singles once pulled out). Air con in room was non existent - ended up having to open the window so it was a bit noisy in the morning. Good space and shelves for clothes etc. TV had European English channels ;BBC World! France 24? Enough to keep up with the news and an English film channel. Choice of buffet breakfast was good, usual continental and small amount of cooked items. Good coffee. Bit of a walk from the Palace and station (good 20mins) but nice avenue and seemed quite safe. Not much going on near the hotel, small restaurant opposite and a couple of little grocery shops. Parking (charge) was very convenient in underground car park although a bit of a hike up the stairs with cases! Ate once in the evening in the restaurant, great service, very friendly staff. Food good quality and large portions. Overall great value for Versailles.

Close to VersaillesPosted Jul 29, 2014
Location: Great location. Just 10-15 walk down to the palace. Small grocery just south of the hotel.
Handy. Underground parking. Buy your tickets for the Versailles gardens at the front desk. Make sure to go on a day that the fountains are running.

A bit far, but very comfyPosted Jul 5, 2014
The hotel is 20 min walk from the palace, which is a bit far. WiFi signal was weak. Beside that, it was a very clean, nice room, and quite big for European standard.

Fairly decent, 15 minute walk to palacePosted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: The restaurant was nice for a level of this quality.
Cons: Allow the guest to fully control their room temperature.
Location: The hotel is about 15 minute walk from the Versaille Palace, but opposite town from both main train stations.
We stayed just one night. It was not anything special. The staff struggled with some English but tried very hard to be helpful. You cannot control the coolness of your room, only the heat, so if you want the room cooler than it is, you're out of luck.
