“Too hot to sleep”
The front desk staff was very kind although when we weren't able to sleep well due to the heat, and after turning off all temperature controls at their suggestion, they said they would send maintenance to look. Later in the day when we asked if someone had, they were very vague about it. Regardless, we did not sleep well even one night as it was so hot. We had to leave the window open which made for lots of noise from the street. The hotel has a written policy that if we aren't satisfied and they can't fix it, we won't pay. every morning, we discussed the heat. Every day they suggested something that didn't change anything. The last night (of 4) they offered to move us but we were completely unpacked and exhausted so we declined. They did give us one night to stay in the future which we might use if the time is unlimited. But we did have to pay......so much for the written policy. The room was comfortable for 3 people and the bathrooms were clean and well equipped. On our second day there, we came back from sightseeing at 3 pm and the room wasn't cleaned so we had to call the desk. At that point someone came quickly and cleaned while we sat in the hallway. It's really hard to do so much sight seeing without good sleep so we won't stay again and no, we wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
“Good enough”
The room is actually small but I'm told fairly good size for Paris standard. If it was for 2 adults, it's good enough but if you are a family and have kids, it is quite compressed. Also, other than the hotel restaurant, your choice of good restaurants is about a 10 minute walk so if you have little ones, it can be a good walk for them. But compared to the prices of the other hotels, this was good enough for us.
“Very comfortable, modern, excellent service”
The staff was excellent, very helpful and courteous. The hotel is in a nice area, a little south of all of the tourist destinations by about a half-mile. Easy walk to train station and several Metro stops. The lobby and rooms are very nice, plenty of room compared to the older hotels. No question, we'd stay there again. Best overall Novotel I've stayed in France.
“Best hotel if you have to take the train at Montparnasse station in Paris”
Very good service. Bath room is small, and not much room for luggage. Good restaurant
“Excellent value”
Best thing about hotel is that it permits 2 adults and 2 children in the same room - not always easy to find in Paris. Overall location is good, but walk to Metro is quite far. Breakfast is excellent - especially for kids - service was very friendly for Paris.
“Excellent location and outstanding service and quality of rooms”
The hotel is in excellent condition overall...the rooms are very modern. It is a bit far to walk to the Eiffel Tower (may be 30-40 minutes) but VERY close to Metro and Bus Stations that take you there in less than 3 - 4 minutes and to other stations in Paris. Overall, I would stay again in this hotel as it is in a nice area of Paris...far from the citytraffic but still close to the main attractions. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free Wi-Fi (a plus considering you get chanrged for anything in Paris).
“Good Paris Hotel Best for Fall & Winter time”
Axceeded all expectations and above. The location is very good if one is willing to walk in grey Paris of Fall and Winter season
“Good....hidden charges were disapponting.”
too many hidden charges
“A hotel for its ***”
Not very great hotel but good for it's quite cheap ***. The staff is friendly, funny fellow Abdoul at the bar. Surrounding is not so friendly, be ready to get a room with its windows looking at the railroad. Close to the metro station but far away from centre and any interesting places. Use the restaurant crossover the street - it works from dawn till dusk and you can have a good dinner there - better than in the hotel
“Great location”
Hotel is close to the metro station and staff were very helpful and polite. Room was very comfortable and certainly would recommend this hotel - it is close to the business section and I felt very safe.
