2ND AND LAST STAY!Posted Aug 26, 2014
Cons: Customer service and helpfulness of the staff.
Location: This is just around the corner from a metro station Dugommier (sp) and just across the road from a bus stop and goes to St Germain des Pres etc.
This hotel is clean, comfortable and friendly but what we came back for was the location literally just round the corner from the metro, good shops for food etc. and a couple of nice cafes. However were less impressed this time by the fact all the plugs in our room stopped working and daughter had to sit at reception to charge her phone. When we reported it we were told "it does that sometimes, it is getting fixed next month"!! No offer of a new room and of course no air conditioner! So very hot and sticky couple of nights. Would we return? Probably not. But we would have if even the slightest attempt to help us had been made!

Close to subway in quiet area.Posted Aug 11, 2014
Was pleased with the hotel for the price. The rooms were clean. The location was handy with the subway station at the door. They were missing a few facilities such as fridges or ice. But these were only minor issues.

Nice hotel with reasonable pricePosted Jul 25, 2014
Pros: Good orientation, good service from the reception
Cons: equipments of the hotel is little bit old.
Location: Near train station Gare de Lyon. Very good place, if you plan a trip to southern France.
Good orientation to metro line 6 which can directly go to Eiffel tower and arc of triumph. Bakeries, banks, cafe and pharmacies near the hotel. Some rooms on higher level have good view.

Crappy part of Paris, not a great hotelPosted Jul 2, 2014
We picked this place since it was close to the train station we needed to leave from in the morning. It's not in a nice part of Paris. The lady who checked us in was super efficien and professional. Room was ok. Nothing special. Kind of shabby. Check out guy in the morning made is super awkward to get a taxi. Skip the help next time if you need one and just hail your own. Overall - next time we will stay at a hotel we like, even if it's not convenient to the station.

close to Metro stationPosted May 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
We will stay this hotel again next time because the staff is so friendly, the room is clean and it is close to the metro station ( DUGOMMIER), just around the corner. You can walk to Gare de Lyon (Metro and train station) for about 20 minutes.

Pavilion Bercy Gare de LyonPosted May 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
I have stayed twice at this hotel. The staff are multi-lingual and very helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The showers were especially lovely with nice pressure and temperature. It's located very near to Dugommier Metro station and a short walk from Gare de Bercy. Cool lil cafés and patisseries are numerous. I don't think I'll ever stay anywhere else in Paris

metro stop dugommier close/non transfer stopPosted Mar 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
A SMALL EUROPEAN HOTEL. THE STAFF KEPT FORGETTING TO LEAVE US SOAP AND GLASSES. TOWELS REALLY NEED REPLACEMENT. NO RESTAURANTS AROUND IN AREA, GOOD BOULANGERIE AND PLACE TO GET CAFE AU LAIT. DAY STAFF HELPFUL, NIGHT STAFF NOT SO MUCH.

Badly in need of renovationPosted Mar 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
I stayed here 10 years ago, and maybe that was why I was so disappointed with my more recent stay. The adequate but clean room was once again fine for a short trip, but if nothing here was exactly new 10 years ago, it sure wasn't any newer after a decade, so everything - furniture, bathrooms (one toilet-only, with no fan or window, and no bidet if that matters to you), carpet - had a depressingly shabby, worn look. Also the supposedly free WiFi did not work, I was told there was some problem with it that they were working on. And there was a lot of street noise on the busy corner. That said: The front desk staff was terrific, both knowledgeable and eager to help with restaurant recommendations, directions, things like that. I think one mentioned something about them renovating soon, and I hope that's the case as it's needed badly.
