“NO WIFI IN ROOMS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE SHOWER”
Was expecting a lot more from the hotel. The services are more like a Hostel rather than a 3 star hotel as it is published. Not enough for my money a partial scam.
“A hotel overdue for renovation”
Filthy carpet that keeps coming up from the floor, 1970s furnishings, etc. Desk staff was routinely unkind. (I heard several interactions while sitting in the lobby for free wifi). I stayed in early June and it was hot in Paris. The desk staff said the AC was not turned on until June 21st by policy.
“Excellent location, nice value for money”
Very well located, just a few steps from Gare Saint Lazare (a couple metro lines, train to Versailles) and St Augustine metro. Walking distance to Park Monceau and Opera Garnier (which is linked to CDG airport by a direct bus). Very quiet rooms and surroundings, too. The bathroom deserves a bit better cleaning. In overall, I can recommend this hotel and would definitely use it in future.
“Rotting installations and thieving”
The closet door is falling down, the bed makes noises when you move on it, the wi-fi internet at the lobby is not always operational and the desk clerk can steal your video camera.
“It this is a 3 Star, I do not want to see a 2 or 1 star.”
First off, I believe a customer should get what he pays for or be compensated for it somehow. The hotel is listed as air conditioned but the air conditioner never worked. I was given a fan instead. The mini refridgerator never worked. When this was reported, each time the front desk clerk stated there was no technician on duty. I will say that the room was clean and the front desk clerk did try to help but I want what I pay for, not excuses. The location was good and the neighborhood was convenient.
“Very Dissapointed !!!”
The only thing i liked fron this Hotel was the location which is very near the Metro Station and shops to walk around, very decent neighborhood though but, the rooms were EXTREMELY unconfortable, there was not hot water the last 2 days, air conditioner was not working, the neds EXTREMELY old and the extra bed was NEVER a real bed, the Staff was not very accomodating at all!! i would never go back to this Hotel
“Good Place to Rest”
The Pavillion St. Augustin offers a good, basic room to lay your head. It is not luxurious, but considering all there is to see in Paris, then this may be just what you're looking for. The beds were comfortable and well sized. The bathroom had a built in hair dryer and a large mirror. The tub was big but lacked a functional shower curtain. One had to be careful in which direction you aimed the hand-held shower! Both closet and floor space were minimal. The layout of our room (with 3 beds) made it nearly impossible to pull the desk chair out. The room featured a window which opened and faced the main drag. We kept it open most of the time to allow for fresh air as the A/C was inoperative. We were on the 2nd floor and street noise was minimal. The location is nearly ideal for exploring. Gare St- Lazare (a train station) is just two blocks away and there is a metro stop just around the corner. Close by are a convenience store and a pharmacy. We found a wonderful brasserie just down the street with an easy name to remember: Le Saint-Augustin.
“NOT GONNA STAY THERE AGAIN”
No internet in the guest room, and although there is free wifi in the lobby, the connection was really bad I could hardly get connected. The room was ok, but the TV has no English program at all, and the window could not be shut properly, so it's always very noisy, cos the room is above the street, and I was frequently woken up at night by passing vehicles. Another thing is, the maid doesn't take notice of the DO NOT DISTURB hanging on the door. The good thing is, it is within 5min walk to the Printemps and La Fayette.
“Beware - Read this first”
The pictures are VERY deceptive. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. The price was extremely high for a 1 star at best. Aside from not being updated EVER, everything was dirty. I didn't want to take off my shoes or touch anything. The carpet was 30+ years old and very dirty. The beds taco-ed. The bathroom was dirty and old. The tub had a partition that was 8 inches long, so the shower water got all over the floor while running. The towels were old, thin and extremely dated. The window did not open, air conditioning did not work. You cannot put into words how bad this place was. It was VERY misrepresented. If the price was $20/night, I still would not stay here. The only positive thing about this place was that the shower had hot water. THAT WAS ALL.
“Can't beat the location!”
The hotel was great, big rooms, clean, nice staff. The AC in the room worked for the first 3 days and then broke, and the wireless internet went down after 3 days too. The staff was very nice and tried to help with our issues as much as they could. The maids were very persistent about cleaning, and came in even after we said we didn't want cleaning service that day. The neighborhood was great! especially towards the monceau park area. Very convenient location close to gare st. lazar, and st. augustine metro stop. Walking distance to Champs elysees and opera st. Lazar where the roissy bus drops you off. Also walking distance to galleries lafayetter and printemps. Can't beat the location and the room size!
