Nice hotel for couples.

Pros: Very elegant.
Cons: Staff tended to be a little "stuffy".
Location: Away from the center of the city.
Very nice hotel away from the center of the city. They upgraded us to a junior suite. Only problem was it was next to the dining room and was noisy at times.

A Feast for the Eyes in the City of Light

Posted May 8, 2012
Pros: Decor and staff
Cons: far from nightlife
Location: far from nightlife, good walk to Champs Elysee and Eiffel Tower, requires taxi and metro to most other destinations
My favorite hotel in Paris! The entire staff is cheerful and helpful. Concierge Christian has been in service for 22 years and is very pleasant and charming. The decor is a feast for the eyes--over the top for most tastes, but I'm an artist so I appreciate it. The massage room has a gilded mirror and chandelier. Recommended rooms: 306 and 409 in black and white toile, 306 has 2 floor to ceiling windows facing the fountain up front The 400 rooms are in the roof so the windows are small: 407 in leopard and red with a claw foot bathtub 405 in gray for those who can't take too much print Avoid 408-- too dark in black furniture with small windows
