Good hotel in a fantastic location

Posted Nov 25, 2013
We had a wonderful time at the Sofitel Le Faubourg. The staff were friednly and efficient - overall excellent. The two key features of the hotel from our perspective were (1) location - it is situated just off the Place de la Concorde in a quiet side street. Perfect for walking to the Louvre, Tuileries, Champs Elysees, Madeleine, Galeries Lafayette etc etc - and (2) the communal areas in the hotel. There is a lovely bar and lounge area. Ideal for sitting in and having a relaxing drink after a hard day's sightseeing. Really loved this place. NB. we didn't est at the hotel so can't comment on that.

wet in paris "sofitel"

Posted Nov 22, 2013
Pros: NON
Cons: please improve the maintenance of the hotel and the receptionist in the cafe lounge
the room they gave us have a water leak in the floor. we ask the reception if they can change our room... the reception just send a maintenance to vacuum the floor... the floor is still wet because theres a leak... so sad i booked sofitel even though it is more expensive because i taught it will be comfortable...

Hotel in heart of Paris

Posted Nov 21, 2013
Pros: Location location location. The bar is not bad and a massage is excellent.
Cons: Breakfast has to be the WORST experience of any so called 5* hotel. Buffet, begging for a table, every day being MADE to wait in reception. Dreadful
Location: All good in terms of location, but lets get back to the hotel, poor service, poor services. In desperate need of an upgrade in facilities.
Room was a suite, and this was small and narrow with no view. Facilities are very poor. The team try but are not able to provide the modern traveller with the comforts of a 5 * hotel.

wonderful amenities and the bar menu was excellent

Pros: one block from the Madeleine shopping and three blocks from Angelina's
Cons: carpets a bit in need of replacement
Location: Close to Concorde Metro, one block from the Madeleine shopping and three blocks from Angelina's which is on the list of "1000 places....."
we booked the Soffitel le Faubourg on the advice of a friend and it was everything we expected. Close to Concorde Metro, one block from the Madeleine shopping and three blocks from Angelina's which is on the list of "1000 places....."

Shame about breakfast service.

Posted Nov 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel well situated, comfortable room and helpful staff. Restaurant not open weekend lunchtimes so ate at Bar 30 - good menu and food lovely ;attractive presentation, and the service was good. Only complaint was Sunday breakfast - absolute shambles! The area where breakfast served was not large enough for the number of guests, asked to wait in reception area but no system then. We returned to room and packed. When we came down we got in but much of what was available to eat had been depleted therefore it was expensive for what we had. Despite this would return and probably stay there again.
