Disappointing experience, except location.Posted Jul 20, 2014
We had booked 2 quadruple rooms for 2 families for 2 nights and it was a very unhappy experience. It was very hot and and stuffy inside the rooms although air was slightly cooler outside, at least in the night. There was no air conditioning in the rooms which I would have expected for a 3 star hotel. A single small fan was provided for a quadruple room (L shaped) and we were declined request for another fan by night staff who did not help or explain but just said no, and went on to chat with another person. We had to always keep the windows open, compromising on privacy - as overlooking into other rooms. It was a very small toilet shower for a quadruple room provided, just enough to fit toilet seat. While using the toilet, the legs were in the shower area. Water overflowed into the toilet area from shower because the edges/ slope was not raised enough. The other quadruple room's shower was slightly better sized. We were not told earlier that hospital public car park nearby closes late evening (I think he said 8 PM) so one cannot arrive late and park securely. Most others were full. It is understandable regarding space being at premium in Paris but this hotel's facilities /comfort doesn't deserve a 3 star status. It is difficult for one reception staff to attend all customers.

It's clean, near metro.Posted Jul 20, 2014
Area of town a little seedy, but not too bad, good bistro on corner, near metro. Kids thought the outside of hotel decorated in AstroTurf was funny. Don't grad a cup of coffee in the lobby it's 2.50 euro. Internet worked about average for Europe. We picked it bc we wanted to be near train for am, it's was good for that purpose.

Accessible and easyPosted Jun 28, 2014
This place is close to the metro, and there are some nice food places around - good food priced well (for Paris). Seems like a bit of a rough neighbourhood, though we had no trouble - might not be great for girls travelling alone.

Lack of air conditioningPosted Jun 26, 2014
I booked this hotel specifically because it claimed to have air conditioning which is a requirement for Paris in the summer. When I got to the room, I was told that there was no air conditioning because the neighbors had complained of the noise. Even with open windows and fans the temperature was 29C and this was only in June. It was almost unbearable and I can only imagine how hot it will get in July / August when the city heats up. While it is fine for a hotel to not have air conditioning, it is not ok to claim that it does and brush you off when you complain about being mislead.

Dear client; We are very sorry that your staying at the hotel wasn't pleasant and that you make a mistake choosing your hotel. If you check in our facilities you will see that nowhere ir written that the hotel has AC. If you ckeck on the websites, about 70% of Paris's hotels do not have AC. We really are very sorry about this.

Affordable, practical, friendlyPosted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Price, staff, style, location
Cons: Sound proofing between rooms - one noisy night due to residents in the next room talking loudly and 'enjoying each other's company' with enthusiasm...
Location: Quiet, narrow side street. Simple cafe adjacent - more within easy walking distance. Shops plentiful. Metro 100m (Goncourt - line 11 to city centre)
Great location around 100m from Metro into the city centre. Modern, clean style with simple but adequate facilities. Suits those planning to spend more time in the city than in the hotel. 24 hour reception handy when returning from a street party at 2am....

Convenient location but poor facilitiesPosted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Staff friendly and tried to please. They gave us a free breakfast because of inconvenience of no hot water. Also room very clean.
Cons: Air conditioning. Coffee/tea making facilities in room. Improved outside appearance.
Location: Good location as within walking distance of Place de La Republique. Also close to Metro station.
Initial impression poor as outside needed painting and Hotel in a scruffy side street. The reception was just a desk, lift very small and broke down twice. Ran out of hot water on first morning but fine after that. The bathroom not big enough as could not sit on toilet and close door. No eating facilities in Hotel No air conditioning so had to keep window open so were disturbed by traffic noise on cobbled street outside. However, staff very friendly and room very clean.

Close to the MetroPosted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: Location, close to metro and shops and a good price.
Cons: My room was getting close to needing painting, but was clean.
Location: Plenty of shops and restaurants in nearby streets an downtown only 10 minutes away with Metro.
Nice an simple hotel. 2 minutes walk from a Metro statio, so It taken 10 minutes or less to go downtown, plenty of restaurants and stores, including a nice grocery store near by. Staff spoke english and was plesant and helpful.

Decent hotel for reasonable pricePosted Jun 9, 2014
The entrance to the hotel wasn't the loveliest but the room was comfortable. The toilet is rather small but besides that everything is perfect for a few nights in Paris.
