Budget hotel

Posted May 25, 2014
Budget hotel, close to metro and other amenities (restaurants etc.). The washroom was bit too small and uncomfortable. Rest of the room was small but okay.

Paris on a budget

Posted Jun 2, 2013
Pros: The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful and the breakfast is well worth the extra money.
Cons: The rooms are small and basic with old fashioned decor and minimum storage/drawer space.
Location: Good location convenient for Roland Garros and parc des princes and just outside the main centre of Paris. Metro station marcel sembat and bus routes.
Value for money basic Paris hotel. Rooms are very basic but functional. The staff were excellent very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good, and the wi-fi is free. A good location close to bus and metro. A good option for a low priced paris hotel but don't expect luxury.

Budget hotel, may work for some and not for others

Posted Oct 8, 2012
Pros: Not Applicable.
Cons: Noise, not new
Location: Noisy if you get the rooms by the side of the road. Probably less on the other side.
After staying in diffierent hotels over the last one week, it was a very bad experience. This hotel might work for students or travelers who are single and dont mind the noise. We had stayed in a 4* hotel before and I needed a hotel for just one day. I thought Tims hotel was more like a chain like Best Western. The room was clean - relatively speaking. 1. Carpets were very old. 2. Bathroom was extremely small. 3. We got a room close to the road and hence very noisy and busy traffic,.My wife and I really couldnt sleep. 4. It was a non smoking room. But, the room had smoke smell. The receptionist was very accomodating to us and asked if we needed to change the room. Since we had checked in, we were too tired to take up on that offer. 5. The lights made the room pretty dingy. The elevators are super small and tiny..225 kgs only or 3 persons. In general, if you are a student or a budget traveler (hotel was not cheap) and you just need a place to sleep, then this could be OK. For us, we needed quite, some space and a feeling of fresh. It may work for many or some, but it definitely was not what we expected. I guess, our expectation was way off here. The staff was quite friendly and they offered to book taxi for us to the airport as well as showed us where we can go to grocery stores to get some breakfast etc.

Wanted a hotel near parc de princes stadium and this was ideal. Basic hotel but just what we needed, good lacal facilities, access to metro, nice room. 10 min walk to the metro which gives access to all of paris.
