I would not recommend this hotel.Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: The location was great.
Cons: A little client service goes a long way and could have completely changed our attitude.
Location: Two blocks from the Louvre, in the heart of the 1er arrondissement. Close to all amenities.
When we arrived, the lift was not working and they put us on the 6th floor. We were told it would be fixed within 20 minutes so we left our luggage downstairs and waited. A few hours later, still nothing. My husband lugged our bags (45 lbs each) on his head one at a time up all those stairs. The reception did not provide any assistance, even when asked. Some ladies were not so lucky to have someone to help and I saw them dragging their cases up one step at a time, it was ridiculous. I had a hard time making it up the six flights as I have respiratory issues and a cold to boot. We asked for a lower level but they would not change us. Our room also had no working phone nor a hair dryer. It was an inconvenience not having a phone as we were expecting a call from some friends and a little unerving not having a phone on the top floor in case of emergency. The room was adequate. We did not have visions of grandeur but were expecting more, at least in client service. The lift was finally fixed the next day for the higher floors and they found me a hair dryer on Day 3 of our 4 day stay. The shower walls were peeling and had some mold. You had to sit in the tub to take your shower so as not to have water everywhere. The ceilings had obvious stains from previous leaks and the room was just generally blah. After our initial shock we realized we would only sleep there so figured we got what we paid for and opted to stay rather than waste our precious Paris time moving around.

Small, cramped, a bit shabby but clean, very helpful staff, good breakfast; the hotel is expensive but what you are paying for is the magic location.
BewarePosted May 29, 2014
Cons: All above referenced items. WiFi in particular is essential for people who travel and need to stay connected for business.
Location: Louvre a short walk. Centrally located.
No WiFi available most of the time, only in lobby at times. Heating inadequate, cold air sips in through windows which do not close all the way. Even for European standards, room small, bathroom extra small. When we checked in asked for the shuttle service to the airport the next day. Were told the next morning we did not have a reservation and they could not guarantee a taxi that would take credit card but we could take a short walk to the airport bus service. We had an evening flight. At 9AM we were told there was no more space to hold our luggage, that we could place them around the corner at our own risk. When we asked if we could pay extra to have our luggage stored, the desk person opened the closed only to find that there was plenty of space for our 2 pieces of luggage. The walk turned out quite a distance. Just not the type of service we are used to. Would not recommend this hotel.

Very central for the Louvre 5 min walkPosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet .
Cons: More tea bags, safe in rooms. Ideally the room would be bigger. Tall/big people would find it difficult to fit in the shower as bathroom very snug
Location: centrally located for the Louvre. Easy to walk to other places of interest. Restaurants shops and bakery and little supermarket nearby
The hotel was clean and quiet ,but the room was very small. It was a good base to visit places of interest. Shops.bakery and restaurants on the same street. Staff were pleasant and were helpful if you asked any questions. Also they would keep you luggage on the last day - no charge. There were no safes in the rooms. The hotel made a charge per day if you used the safe at the reception The tea /coffee making facilities were welcome

Great locationPosted Aug 23, 2013
Pros: The great location saved a lot of time. There was always someone at the front desk to help.
Cons: The Internet service needs to be extended to the back rooms.
Location: Louvre, St. Eustice Church, Le Halles, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter
Staff was really accommodating. It was a really short walk to the Louvre and a few other great sites. Also close to the Metro. The rooms are small, but typical for Paris. Lots of restaurants and shops near by. Lift is small, but it works well. I never did find the air con that was supposed to be there. Internet in my room was terrible, but good in the lobby.

Louvre love.Posted Jun 1, 2013
Pros: Location and building style
Cons: Small room
Location: Perfect location.
The hotel is in a key location. Close to good restaurants, Le Louvre and within walking distance to Notre Dame, l'Arc de Triomphe and shopping. The hotel is less than two blocks away from the metro. Room is clean and well designed. Room is small but for the location it is priced right. The staff is helpful and very kind. Would book it again next time I visit.

Perfect locationPosted Dec 25, 2011 on Hotels.com
Very good hotel, close to most of metro stations and convenient to go anywhere. Service good as well. Breakfast not included but could be served by paying extra €10 a day which wasn't really a problem. Only one thing I would complain about is the heating in my room that wasn't working. It could be turned on and set at 30 degrees Celsius but it wasn't getting any warm as I went in winter time I wish the room temperatura was higher.. Apart from that All very good!!
