“Good affordable hotel”

Nice and helpfull staff, small but very clean rooms and bathrooms. Large choice of goodies for breakfast. Very convenient location, I could see the Montparnasse train station from my room. Can be noisy though between 6.00 am and 11.00 pm because of car traffic. Excellent hotel overall.

“Would Definitely Stay Here Again”

My friend and I spent 2 nights in this hotel and it was great. We arrived 3 hours before check in without any hassle, they were more than willing to switch our room to one that we ready early- much appreciated as we were exhausted! As already noted, yes, the elevator is tiny and sometimes out of order, so there is a good chance you'll have to lug your suitcases. The room is definately small, but very standard for Europe in general. Room and Bathroom were very clean. Probably the best part of this hotel- its in a good, safe neighborhood and steps away from a great Metro stop- Bienvenue-Monparnasse (connects many lines). Finally, when we had to checkout, they held our bags until the end of the day so we could continue to explore Paris.

“More than we expected.”

When we arrived at Timhotel Montparnasse, we were expecting very little. It is only a two star. Our room was small, but it had a balcony with a neat view of the tallest building in Paris. The restaurant below did have music a couple of nights, but we couldn't hear from our sixth floor room if our balcony doors were closed. Our friends were on the second floor, and they could hear the band through the floor. There is an elevator that can fit two and a half people, but the stairs are adequate if you don't like tight spaces. The hotel provided tea, coffee, and cookies every day. A little advice: don't turn the water in the shower all the way up. It is very strong on the lower settings, and you'll flood the shower floor into the bathroom. Oops. The clerks know english, for the most part, and were very willing to work with our limited french. The long distance rates were wonderful. You'll just have to tell the clerk that you want to call out. They have to turn the long distance on in your room. The hotel is close to a major shopping area (right across the street) and metro stops. There are several restaurants and breakfast stops. All in all, a very handy place to stay.

“good hotel!”

We had a lovely time at the tim hotel montparnasse. We were 4 people, in 2 rooms. The room I stayed was good but had a litle bathroom. The curtain was always touching us everytime we were taking a shower. The staff was extremelly helpful and the breakfast was absolutelly perfect! Best breakfast I had in a hotel. The overall was good!

“convenient to train station”

We selected this hotel because of its proximity to Montparnasse station. It's inexpensive, clean, breakfast service available, small rooms, elevator and bathrooms, but that's not surprising. Staff friendly and helpful. Quiet considering the busy location, opposite the Tower and Galleries Lafayette. Lots of eating places around.

“Great place to stay!”

This hotel is very much in line with other hotels in Paris. While not extravagant it is very adequate and available at a great price. We found the location to be very convenient right next to a major subway and train station. The hotel personnel were very helpful as well.

“nice, low-budget hotel”

This hotel is very clean and in a lively neighborhood. There is easy access to the metro and many restaurants, shops and bars nearby. The room was small, but servicable. My only complaint was the shower. It was simply a shower base with a curtain around it. It was almost impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom. Overall, though, it is a very good buy for the budget-conscious traveller.

“Better location than we thought”

We had a great experince here! Very friendly and accomodating staff (many of whom spoke English) and a clean, comfortable room. Though the location is a little bit out of the mainstream tourist area, it was nice, pleasant walk to the Latin Quarter - even the walk to Notre Dame was not too bad - and a short metro ride to many other attractions. The surrounding neighborhood seemed more local too - which we enjoyed.

“Nice hotel in a convenient location”

This hotel is in a great spot near the Montpanasse train/metro station. The room is fine for the price. The beds are firm, a desk and two chairs, adequate sized bathroom which includes a shower/tub, and a small closet. The staff was very pleasant and spoke English so communication was no problem. There are many nice restaurants, a shopping mall, great creperies, pharmacy, movie theaters, and grocery market all in a minute walking distance (did I say convenient!). I'd recommend staying at this hotel.

“Fine for a budget hotel”

Very good service from staff. Great location for getting aroung Paris and not too far from Porte de Versailles for business travellers. No frills and limited choice of TV channels but who cares when you're in Paris?
