Very seedy hotel

Only redeeming quality is that it is cheap and close to Paris Gare du Nord

Hotel Gare du Nord

Posted Jun 8, 2014
Very basic. Very expensive for the overall quality. Very poor maintenance on rooms. Room clean and bed comfortable. Good shower. Do not go by the room pictures provided online....Very misleading. Good location for easy access to train and metro lines. Would be ok for half the price but way overpriced and rooms shabby and not pleasant to spend any amount of time in. Just to shower and sleep. Very very noisy in mornings with guests and cleaners etc.....

Close to Gare Du Nord

Posted May 31, 2014
Pros: Proximity to Gard du Nord
Cons: A kettle and tea making facilities in each room would be much appreciated. Thus us standard in many hotels around the world and definitely missed.
Location: Right next to the railway lines so quite noisy.
Most convenient location within 10 minutes walk of station dragging a suitcase. Shower and toilet in separate rooms which was good. No tea and coffee facilities in rooms but a thermos of boiling water in reception so if desperate for cuppa you could make one. No milk though. Many restaurants in the area, we had a nice Chinese meal just down the road. Pleasant and helpful staff. Located in the Indian quarter.

Good deal and very clean rooms for Paris!

Posted May 2, 2014
Pros: right next to the Gare du Nord, few metro stations from many interesting sites, friendly staff, clean Cons: TERRIBLE WIFI, essentially it doesn't work (free computer access in the lobby, but reminiscent of 1998 speed-wise); a little noisy because right in front of train tracks; neighborhood a little sketchy, but I wouldn't say dangerous

Convenient location

Not the type of hotel we'd usually opt for but needed somewhere cheap near Gare du Nord for one night and this fit the bill. On a positive, good location to get to/from London, and Stade de France; comfortable beds, working shower. It's very basic. Cold at night but luckily we had an extra duvet. No hairdryer in room; borrowed one from reception. Did the job we needed it to & staff very polite.

Avoid this hotel

Posted Apr 21, 2014
I was supposed to stay at this hotel but the room was so dirty that I refused to stay and walked out after 5 minutes of checking in. Rooms look nothing like pictures and I have no idea how they can claim to be a 3 star hotel..

not at all like the picture

Overall the hotel was OK but just a few points: the pictures on the website don't match the rooms, we requested a double bed but were given two singles and the windows didn't close properly leading to an early wake up call from the trains at 4-5am. Service was friendly though, the room was clean and the location was OK (close to a metro station) would recommend for a crash pad but not if you want to spend a lot of time in your hotel room.

Spring Paris Visit

Posted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: Location, price, staff, room comfort.
Location: Great location near the Gare due Nord. Easy to connect to transit and go downtown Paris.
I found the front desk staff very helpful, the hotel location great - close to the Metro transit, the room very comfortable. However, the room could be noisy if you are facing the train tracks. I would recommend this hotel. Only thing is be careful of the pick pockets in Paris - they are around and very clever. :)

Great Location

I like the hotel location, because I was travelling by train and its 10 minutes walking distance from station and next to asian shops and restaurants specially Sri Lankan foods, easy access to metro.
