“Lovely Hotel”

Lovely hotel, excellent location, very helpful/courteous staff--with one exception. Desk staff member Farid always appeared detached from our interests, marginally helpful, focused on himself and essentially indifferent to the guests. All other staff were friendly and eager to be of assistance. I would be happy to return to the hotel, notwithstanding Farid.

“Don't miss out on the Marais”

This hotel may be slightly outside of the "tourist" areas, but it is a fabulous place to stay. It is located very close to three different Metro lines. It is down a small street and located near a lot of great places to visit. We soent nearly an entire day just exploring the areas around the hotel. The hotel is quite quaint and clean. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. We asked the concierge to reccomend a restaurant. He asked us some simple questions about what we were looking for and reccomended an absolutely fabulous place and made the reservation for us.

“Pleasant surprise in great location”

Villa Beaumarchais was a pleasant surprise, the hotel is nicely decorated, has a friendly staff and it is centrally located in the Marais district of Paris, within walking distance to restaurants, museums, boutiques and the metro. Our room was very clean, had a very comfortable bed and an ample bathroom. Villa Beaumarchais is set back from the main roads making it very quiet, ideal for getting a good night sleep.

“A Gem in the Marais”

My stay at the Villa Beaumarchais was wonderful. the room are nicely appointed. The decor is lovely. AC could be a little colder though. The 15E breakfast we at first thought was a bit pricy. However when you can eat from a buffet, it conpares to most things we found around for a "petitdejuneur" (sp) And the hotel is 3 blks from the Place deVoges and Victor Hugo's house and the Carnavalet (2 Museums that are free) and then all the shops and botiques of the Marais. And "Really good" Fast street food on the Rue de Rosiers! Terrific! The people at the hotel couldn't have been nicer. And the hotel was QUIET as all room face an inner courtyard! - A great find in Paris.

“Convenient, friendly and quiet”

This hotel is tucked away on a back street so it's very quiet. But it's very close to the Metro 8 line so you can get around easily (heading in the Balard direction takes you West through the center of Paris, the Creteil direction takes you East). It's also very close to the Place de Vosges (nice spot to sit out at a cafe), the Carnavalet Museum (great museum covering the history of Paris - free!) and the Picasso Museum (didn't visit but it's supposed to be good). It's also a pretty reasonable walk to lots of other sites - Notre Dame, left bank etc. Overall we really enjoyed staying here and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The only thing we didn't like was the breakfast - it was good but expensive; cheapskates would do better to go to one of the local bakeries. One last thing; there's a coin op laundry just across the Boulevard Beaumarchais. It worked very well for us and accepts bills (up to 20s), not just Euro coins.
