Stay in ParisPosted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: The service and help from the employees.
Cons: The front desk.
Location: Moulin Rouge which it's fantastic. For other many attractions, being close to the metro helps going everywhere in a short period of time.
The entire experience was great. There is only one comment about the area surrounding the hotel, although it's very safe regardless of the time of the day or night, it's located in the "red zone" which should be disclosed at the time of booking. It's very close to train metro station which makes it very comfortable to mobilize back and forth to anywhere in the city. The area is loud so if it doesn't bother you or if you are late sleeper this would be a hotel to stay. It's a very small hotel but comfortable and clean. The service was great but we didn't stay long since we were mostly out during the day and part of the night. Since it's close to Moulin Rouge, also brings other not so appealing attractions like late night discotheques and pleasure emporiums which we don't particularly like.

Great Hotel near the MetroPosted May 18, 2014
Pros: The bed, close to Metro, friendly staff
Cons: They need shower curtains.
Location: Plenty of restaurants and right at the Pigalle Metro stop
You get off at the Pigalle stop on the Metro and the Hotel is right on the square. Plenty of restaurants nearby and close to Sacre Coeur. The red light district is down the Boulevard de Clichy just down from the hotel but everywhere else around there is regular people and places. The staff was friendly and they struggled a little bit with their English but overall spoke it well. The room was a little bit small but all the rooms in Europe seem to be small. The t.v. offered only BBC News and MSNBC for English speaking networks. Everything else was in French. The bed was at least a queen size. It was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was really nice but they don't have shower curtains. Just a glass partition which covers very little and the floor gets wet from taking a shower. No air conditioning but we opened the window and the room cooled off fast. But, this was May. The windows opened onto a balcony and we could see Sacre Coeur from our room. You can hear traffic at night with the window opened or closed. Again, this seems common in Europe and ear plugs are a must. Also, be careful of pickpockets at the Gare de Nord and the major tourist sights. We actually were pickpocketed at the Gare de Nord but I saw the guy and yelled at him. He gave me back my wife's wallet. But, WE WERE LUCKY, there were a lot of people around. Better to take precautions than to have to confront someone like that. I wore a money belt under my clothing. Overall, a very nice hotel.

Dear Clients, We thank you for sharing your comment on this web site.It is true that we are located in lively and young area that is why the rooms are equipped with double glazed windows and a sound proof door. We are happy that you liked the comfortable bed and the friendliness of our staff. In the bathroom there is no shower curtains but a shower glass. Or heating/air-conditionning system is centralized, as the temperatures in Paris were not high and stable enough, our system was still turned on the heating. For people who were warm, we advised to switch off the thermostat in the room and in the bathroom and we gave them a fan on request. Regarding your experience in the Gare du Nord, it is unfortunately expected like in every big train stations in the World. As the Gare du Nord is the biggest train Station in Europe, we thank you to warn people. Overall, we are very happy to read that you find our hotel nice and it would be a pleasure to welcome you again for your next trip in Paris. Yours sincerely,

Lovely Hotel.Posted May 7, 2014
Had a great 5 night stay in a lovely Hotel full of character. Staff helpful and polite. Decor was fabulous, maybe a bit tired in places. Location fantastic if a bit noisy at night but not a problem as we thought it added character. Must mention, no tea or coffee making facilities. Would definitely go back.

The hotel is in the "red light" district. A lot of sex stores nearby, but the hotel itself is very nice with some great views (we were in the top floor) and very close to the Metro station for very easy transit around the city. Also very close to Gare Du Nord if you are traveling into Paris by train.

Wonderful but could be improvedPosted Nov 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is a little flamboyant gem, located in the heart of Paris. It is near the French equivalent of Soho so not suitable for children, but very convenient for exploring areas like Montmartre, Sacre Coeur, etc. Loads of lovely restaurants and bars are within walking distance and taxis/the metro are easy to find. Regarding the hotel, it is utterly beautiful and eccentric which we loved. It was worth every penny to upgrade to a jacuzzi bath room which we used every night. However, we found the bed a bit old, hard, uncomfortable and worn. Also they burned incense constantly in the main hotel areas which for an asthmatic like me was problematic. I didn't even attempt to try to explain our small gripes to staff as they didn't understand much English and my French is limited to basic conversation. But other than those two things and perhaps being a little cold at night, we absolutely loved this hotel and were so glad we'd booked something special.

The staff were great as was the 'brothel style but elegant' room. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel BUT if you are planning on sleeping, do not stay here. There is a night club across the road which kept us up all night (it closes at midday!!).

Great location but a bit noisy.Posted Oct 24, 2013
Pros: Location. Security.
Cons: Noise reduction.
Location: Right near Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge, etc. Metro stop right outside.
Directly opposite the Pigalle Metro stop, the hotel really is in a fantastic location. Just at the bottom of the Montmarte hill, it's an easy 10 minute walk up to Sacre Coeur or just jump on the Metro. The room was clean and nicely decorated, although our room was extremely small. The staff were very helpful and we felt like it was a safe secure place to stay. The major downside was noise. Even on the fourth floor and with double glazing, we had a lot of street noise from below, cars, people, all hours of the night. Take your ear plugs if you want to sleep right through!
