Unique and fun

Very different, fun hotel. Great location, right at the base of Montmartre and right next to a metro stop.

Convenient location and exotic

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: The location was convenient to the metro and nearby grocery shops as well as local restaurants. The rooms were clean, spacious, and quiet.
Cons: Nothing with the hotel itself.
Location: The Pigalle square is a bit raunchy at night with the strip clubs but clients keep to themselves and during the day it is perfectly ordinary.
The hotel is located steps from the metro and one block from a lovely Paris neighborhood leading up to Sacred Coeur. Staff is friendly, room was spacious for a European capital and well airconditioned which was essential during the hot days of summer. The metro from the hotel is 10 minutes away from Arc de Triomphe and 20 from the Louvre. The only downside might be the strip club across the street and other similar places in the square, although put into context this is the type of nightlife that made Toulouse-Lautrec such a popular artist. We were in a second floor corner room with a lovely balcony. Although it was a bit noisy at night it never got out of hand. It is a good place to stay even with kids who are old enough not to require pool or exercise facilities and who appreciate the need for quiet in a hotel.

Stay in Paris

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: The service and help from the employees.
Cons: The front desk.
Location: Moulin Rouge which it's fantastic. For other many attractions, being close to the metro helps going everywhere in a short period of time.
The entire experience was great. There is only one comment about the area surrounding the hotel, although it's very safe regardless of the time of the day or night, it's located in the "red zone" which should be disclosed at the time of booking. It's very close to train metro station which makes it very comfortable to mobilize back and forth to anywhere in the city. The area is loud so if it doesn't bother you or if you are late sleeper this would be a hotel to stay. It's a very small hotel but comfortable and clean. The service was great but we didn't stay long since we were mostly out during the day and part of the night. Since it's close to Moulin Rouge, also brings other not so appealing attractions like late night discotheques and pleasure emporiums which we don't particularly like.

Great Hotel near the Metro

Posted May 18, 2014
Pros: The bed, close to Metro, friendly staff
Cons: They need shower curtains.
Location: Plenty of restaurants and right at the Pigalle Metro stop
You get off at the Pigalle stop on the Metro and the Hotel is right on the square. Plenty of restaurants nearby and close to Sacre Coeur. The red light district is down the Boulevard de Clichy just down from the hotel but everywhere else around there is regular people and places. The staff was friendly and they struggled a little bit with their English but overall spoke it well. The room was a little bit small but all the rooms in Europe seem to be small. The t.v. offered only BBC News and MSNBC for English speaking networks. Everything else was in French. The bed was at least a queen size. It was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was really nice but they don't have shower curtains. Just a glass partition which covers very little and the floor gets wet from taking a shower. No air conditioning but we opened the window and the room cooled off fast. But, this was May. The windows opened onto a balcony and we could see Sacre Coeur from our room. You can hear traffic at night with the window opened or closed. Again, this seems common in Europe and ear plugs are a must. Also, be careful of pickpockets at the Gare de Nord and the major tourist sights. We actually were pickpocketed at the Gare de Nord but I saw the guy and yelled at him. He gave me back my wife's wallet. But, WE WERE LUCKY, there were a lot of people around. Better to take precautions than to have to confront someone like that. I wore a money belt under my clothing. Overall, a very nice hotel.

Dear Clients, We thank you for sharing your comment on this web site.It is true that we are located in lively and young area that is why the rooms are equipped with double glazed windows and a sound proof door. We are happy that you liked the comfortable bed and the friendliness of our staff. In the bathroom there is no shower curtains but a shower glass. Or heating/air-conditionning system is centralized, as the temperatures in Paris were not high and stable enough, our system was still turned on the heating. For people who were warm, we advised to switch off the thermostat in the room and in the bathroom and we gave them a fan on request. Regarding your experience in the Gare du Nord, it is unfortunately expected like in every big train stations in the World. As the Gare du Nord is the biggest train Station in Europe, we thank you to warn people. Overall, we are very happy to read that you find our hotel nice and it would be a pleasure to welcome you again for your next trip in Paris. Yours sincerely,

Best location in Paris

Posted May 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Right on the main Bvd Clichy and only a stone throw away from the Moulin Rouge, Monmatre and the Sacre Coeur, this hotel is ideally located for a long-weekend retreat to Paris. Close to bistros and restaurants, a bustling night life and with great public transport connections into the city, you will be spoilt for choices of what to do next. The sound-proofing was fantastic, with the windows closed we heard very little of the bustling street life. We booked a superior room with a bathtub, the room itself was clean and spacious enough for two, but one minus point for jacuzzi tub cleanliness, other than that, no complaints. If you are arriving by car, budget about 30€ per day for parking in the nearby garage, lest you want to spend half your stay looking for a free spot in the narrow streets of the neighbourhood (also paid up to a max duration of 2 hours). Lastly a compliment to the hotel staff, who were cordial and helpful with all the questions we had.

Lovely Hotel.

Had a great 5 night stay in a lovely Hotel full of character. Staff helpful and polite. Decor was fabulous, maybe a bit tired in places. Location fantastic if a bit noisy at night but not a problem as we thought it added character. Must mention, no tea or coffee making facilities. Would definitely go back.

If you love the film Moulin Rouge this hotels rooms is it come to life. Close to Rue Lepic great street for food and the cafe from Amelie that leads up to Sacre Cour. Sleepy at night. Not a family location.
