My review of average is based on not being used to the space in europe coming from canada but i guess thats a norm there. The area is walkable even though we were coming home at midnight a few times so felt very safe.

fantastic position - few min from place de republique - so lots of activities and loads of cafes etc - within 2-5 min of three metros (oberkampf/republique/temple) - 30 min walk and you are at the louvre and the seine - less for the pompidou centre. the staff are brilliant especially bernard who is lovely and very entertaining with his conversation. the room and hotel were very clean and good - but one drawback the curtains were hanging off and they were too high to put right (really high ceiling) but we were not concerned. we liked the room. we liked the hotel. we loved the location.

Hotel Ferney is conveniently located near Place de la République, a bustling and exciting part of Paris with great restaurants and bars around, coupled with convenient transportation links to the rest of the city. The area is well trafficked and lit, so you feel safe coming back late at night. The hotel itself was clean and tidy. Our rooms were cleaned daily. Some of the photos I’ve seen on Expedia look quite dated, but our room was bright, modern and appears to have recently renovated - so I think it’s time for the hotel to update their photos! We also had a balcony, which was a nice place to rest, you could even see the Sacré-Cœur. The staff were especially helpful, and had a great sense of humour. You won’t be getting 5 star amenities, but you also shouldn’t expect it at this price range. Overall, I would say that hotel ferney république offers excellent value for money, and I would happily stay here again.

Disgraceful
This was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed in. There was mould all over the bathroom walls, the shower drain was blocked, the bath mat was an old shredded towel folded in half, there were no pillow cases and over all it was disgraceful and nothing like the photos on line

Nice little hotel
Nice little hotel that was near the #9 metro. Some nice restaurants near by that all offer happy hour specials. Fortunately is was cool in Paris as the room did not have air conditioning. Nice hosts that were there 24/7.

We’ve stayed here before. Is not a luxury hotel, but it’s pleasant and the staff is really nice. Near Place de la République, many restaurants, beu walkable.

Bed consisted of two lightweight single beds made as double, which straight away slid apart as soon with any movement on the bed. No pillows, just a bunch of really uncomfortable cushions: rough-textured and distinctly unclean looking

I loved the location and felt safe in the area. The hotel was very kind and friendly. The hotel definitely needs to be updated. The shower head was handheld only. The furniture was bare minimum and the walls were a bit moldy. You get what you pay for.

The property is extremely old. The TV was almost the size of an ipad screen. The linens and bedding very old. The pillows were linen rolled together and camouflage. It did include breakfast which was a croissant and a hot choco packet, spread and a strip of chese. The orange hiuce was in a shot size glass. The room key was an okd key that you had to leave by tge desk every time you left. The area Rublique is okay and accessible by lots of trains. Has many restaurants, and a busy street live if uou want tovwalk around. The staff at tge hotel were nice byt the condition of the place itself is not good. Only the bathroom which seem to be recently renovated. The lift can only hold 2 carry-on with no person. So one person walked down the stairs, then another placed our carryon in the elevator and send them down. Thank God we only had small bags.

Wifi in the apartment was very poor. The apartment wasn’t well cleaned, plates and cutlery were unclean and the absence of dishwashing liquid meant we could not wash them. There were also inadequate cooking utensils. The location and neighbourhood were, however, good with a metro close by.

I liked the location: near the metro, central, historic square, with lots of bistros, restaurants, bakeries, convenience stores and shopping around. I felt safe in the area. The property needs a good facelift, the staff was friendly, amenities were very basic (no hairdryer, you had to ask for a pillow) and the wifi was too weak.

Over priced and basic. I’ve never booked a hotel that didn’t have an air conditioner nor a mini fridge. I had to open the windows for air and basically had the neighbors looking at me every night and even had a conversation with one neighbor. I couldn’t fit my luggage in the elevator and myself at the same time because it was so small. When I checked in, there was a dirty shirt hanging the the window seal. The internet didn’t work in the room, only in the reception. This was the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I booked it because it was in a convenient location. That was the only good thing about this hotel.

République is kind've a getto area. There's homeless people and graffitti everywhere, so this alone should cause anyone to avoid staying in this area. But this "hotel" had internet only available in the lobby. The rooms weren't particularly nice (the decorum is basic, at best) and the continental breakfast was not the greatest.
